To me, they have to beat the Chiefs. If they don't, I am not sure how they recover.

if you read this with an exaggerated dramatic "oh woe is me" tone it made me laugh

"I am Not sure how they recover" How grim can a person be with #17 at the helm. Come on mane

For a team that was projected to be second or third place in AFCEast.
A team that lost veteran safeties, a stud WR, other departures.

Win or lose vs KC, I’m at peace with our team.

If we win, awesome.
If we lose, it happens.

Im very relaxed about this year’s team. Can only get better.

Understand the sentiment but KC is beatable this year.  The Bills need to get over the hump with them in the playoffs.

I agree, I’d feel better if KC declined this season, and showed signs of the dynasty being over. I could accept that we had a successful season no matter what happens. Instead, it seems the burden of taking down the most obnoxious team in sports has been placed on the Buffalo Bills.

I just can’t understand this with the chiefs doing absolutely historic things to every coach in the nfl come playoff time.  If it was just mcd with the issue I 100% get it.

Let’s say for arguments sake they beat the bills and threepeat this year against the eagles.  That would put them at 18-3 in the mahomes era in the playoffs with the only loss in regulation being against the Bucs in the superbowl.  Clearly if you’re gonna beat them it is pretty much assured it’s gonna be a ridiculously close game that could go either way much like the last two playoff games we played against them and all of the recent regular season ones.

The head coaches responsible for 2 of those 3 wins are retired and the third is Zac Taylor lol like where is this head coach coming from that’s gonna flip the script? In fact, I think a big part in Ben Johnson taking the bears job was to stay in the NFC to avoid the chiefs.

if you were take out the 4 bills games(assuming we lose this one and they win the Super Bowl) the chiefs would be 14-3 still, and do we really think the ravens would’ve had more luck based on their history vs kc? I doubt it.  Baltimore won one fluky game against them where the chiefs fumbled away the game in gw field goal range and lost the rest.

Those other teams aren't defensive head coaches whose D gets obliterated by the same opponent consistently. Cincinnati's D did good against them in the two playoff games. SF D did good last year. Ravens D kept them in check last year despite Lamar screwing up.

Allen is putting up stats against them. It's McD's defense that has been the issue.

I tend to agree with you and I am definitely very pleased with the Bills overperforming expectations, but you don't get too many opportunities to go to the SuperBowl and the team is just one game away against a team that we all know that the Bills can win.   Losing will sting and the narrative will carry on that the Bills and Allen can't beat Mahomes and the Chiefs and it will be almost unbearable to hear but they definitely would be able to recover from it, this team and Allen's DNA is to continue to compete and I think there is a good chance that the roster will be stronger than it was this year.   The big advantage the Bills have this year is that they still have Brady which is big and they are healthy and being this healthy is probably something we won't see next year or the year after.

You’re mentally preparing yourself for a loss. I understand it, but I’m all in. Another loss to Mahomes will send me over the edge. I’d rather lose a SB than have that happen again.

if we win it will be one step closer to the Lombardi and time to buckle UP

If we lose we shall be wounded for sure. It will hurt but not forever .

Peace indeed. It's the most healthy way as far as I'm concerned

Nobody doubts Allen will continue to be good next year. And I'm sure the team will win the division. That has never been a problem.

Beane needs to bring in a stud number one receiver. Young pass rushers and CB's. Even if he does, KC, Baltimore, and Cincinnati will all improve too.

McDermott would have to go.  8 years and can't cracks the superbowl being this close and having Allen?

That will never ever ever ever happen. This was supposed to be a rebuilding year for all intents and purposes. This team overachieved (in the eyes of the media) and the Bills took down the Ravens juggernaut. A loss to KC would be devastating to the fans, but McDermott is not going anywhere. From an outsiders perspective, he had a solid year as a coach. Let him go and he will signed by another team faster than a rabbit gets ******

Nope, this team is really good. It is playing a team it already beat this year. You don't know how or when this chance will come again. We need to win it all this year and anything short I'll be disappointed at this point.

That right there!

This Chiefs team is a shell of the one over the past four years.  Kelce's nearing retirement, their good at most things but not great at anything in particular.  No great RB, no great WR.

Their offense hasn't performed well against to defenses this season, of the few that they've played.

They haven't put up more than 30 all year in regulation, when they put up 30 it was v. Carolina.

Their defense is very good but hardly superlative.

If we can't beat them now ...

It's the Super Bowl Matchup that will a be tougher matchup.

Winning our division isn't exactly a monumental challenge.

A lot of teams would win it regularly given the state it's in.

This is exactly what I've been saying. I don't agree with the people who say we have to beat KC. It's a successful year regardless in my mind.

Thank you i'm with you ! To go into this season with all of the talk that our Buffalo Bills would be last in their own division let alone make it to the AFC Championship game is way beyond anything that the so called "Experts' Or fans expected .

In some ways it makes me wish for all of the high maintenance fans here that the Bills would have been last in our division and sitting home right now watching the play offs with the rest of the teams that lost just maybe (but i highly doubt it) they might appreciate just what this team has accomplished this year .

Given all of the negativity towards the coaching staff in particular this fan base has become like a bunch of spoiled rotten entitled kids or a high maintenance girl friend that always expects to be given or have the very best of everything and can't appreciate being as blessed as we are as fans of this great team .

So do i hope and pray this team brings a Lombardi to Buffalo your dam right i do, if any team deserves it this one does !!  But given everything they have over come this season new players, new coaches on both sides of the ball, beating the number 1 seed in both divisions, winning their division with 5 weeks to go  in the season, beating the Ravens after them literally walking all over us earlier this year, then to be going to the AFC Championship when NO ONE thought they could .

I do understand our fan base is hungry for a SB win as am i, but even if they do win the AFC Championship game and go to the big game if they lose it will change nothing ! Those that are complaining now will find something to complain about and more than likely want the HC fired because as they always say .

"He can't win the game when it counts" which has become the norm here no matter the out come but i will always stand by our winning team & be greatful for them until the owner & GM decide there needs to be changes made .

GO BILLS !!!

I don't believe so, I don't think bringing in a high end WR #1 is the best use of resources.  I mentioned this in another thread, what happened to Gabe Davis and Stefon Diggs production when Brady took over last year?   It took a massive drop.   Look at the WR utilization this year, there are games when both the wideouts may touch the ball 1 to 2 times in a game.

I don't buy this notion that it's solely because the WR's can't separate, Diggs was able to separate decently and had good production and then he didn't.   I think it's partially due to separation but I also believe its due to play design and probably a lack of confidence from Allen to his wideouts and would rather make different passes that he's more comfortable with.

I think the Bills should look to go after a veteran guy like maybe a Cooper Kupp who very well may end up being cut who can win 1 on 1 matchups, that is a good run blocker which is important to how this offense operates that has a great feel for zones and shows up in big games.

I would like to see lots of draft resources for DE's, DT's (Which I think is the most pressing need), CB's and another safety.   There is work to be done on the defensive side of the ball and the offense is plenty good enough to get the job done, the defense is the biggest question mark.

Is that the message in the locker room this week ya think?

What fans think has zero affect on the locker room. I don't even think that is worth mentioning.

That's my point though.

Winning the division doesn't say much. The Bills are better than the other three. Nobody doubts that

2) 1/29: I want the head of Sean McDermott.
