BringBackFergy Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago For a team that was projected to be second or third place in AFCEast. A team that lost veteran safeties, a stud WR, other departures. Win or lose vs KC, I’m at peace with our team. If we win, awesome. If we lose, it happens. Im very relaxed about this year’s team. Can only get better. 18 1 8 9 3 3 Quote

Billsfanatic8989 Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago Fair or not, the season is a failure for me if they can't get to the SB. It doesn't matter if they exceeded expectations. They are here now. Have a great opportunity. They've earned the right. With an elite QB, you need to be able to get over the hump (KC) eventually. These opportunities aren't guaranteed each year. Losing 4/5 years to these guys just isn't acceptable for me. Sorry. 2 1 2 11 1 1 Quote

Augie Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago This is a defeatist attitude. If you don’t win it all your season was a failure. I’ve read that here, so it must be true. All the enjoyment I’ve had this season is somehow going to be magically ripped away from me. Not sure how that works exactly, but I hope it doesn’t hurt. 1 minute ago, MrEpsYtown said: To me, they have to beat the Chiefs. If they don't, I am not sure how they recover. It would be a massive letdown to lose, but pretty sure they will recover because I think the Bills will have a better team next season. Who knows if it will show up in the record? or if they will go 10-0 at home again? But they will have a very good team. 3 3 Quote

I choose to think of this season as a huge success thus far. Winning vs KC would be icing on the cake, but I’m at peace if we lose. Just woke up this morning having a relaxed mindset (after watching this team since 1970’s). 3 Quote

Bud, that won’t happen no matter how much you want it to happen. We’re now 15-4 this year with one meaningless game where we would’ve beat the Pats in our sleep. Im Not giving you my opinion or wish, just the reality that Terry won’t fire McD. He’s in a contract for a couple of years, and the winningest percentage coach in Bills history of 65 years. What would Chicago, Jax, or many other teams do to get a coach and GM who could bring us this many wins for 8 years. Now, my opinion is I truly believe we will win this Sunday night, and finally get back to the big dance like the early 90’s. 3 1 1 2 Quote
Process Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago Im happy as well. But let's be clear, they were projected to finish 3rd in the division by clowns on TV. No Bills fan should have expected that. The team is where it should be. Anything short of a trip to the Superbowl is a failed season. 1 3 1 Quote

I'm also not suggesting McD is a bad HC. I'm going by other sports. In Baseball or basketball, if a HC lost to the same team 4/5 years, while being mostly outcoached by the same people, they would be fired. Regardless of the round it happened in. Win or lose Sunday, KC isn't going away. They will be in our way to a SB for the foreseeable future. We can't keep trying to beat another army with the same generals at the helm. Have to wonder how much faith the QB will have in the coaching staff if the D let's the team down again. Everything we are thinking is probably going through his mind. 3 Quote
Buffalo03 Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago (edited) I feel like people severely underestimated this team. And it sounds like a lot of the fans here believe the media talk that they were saying before the season that we weren't very good. We scored 30+ points in 13 games and 5 of them we scored over 40. We have won 15 games counting the playoffs and somehow people are content because "we made it farther than the media talking head expected?" This team is good. Very good. And we have the ability to win it all. We just have to get to the dance. I feel like the way some fans here are talking that we overachieved. We have not Edited 15 hours ago by Buffalo03 1 Quote
Strethor Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago This team has been built to stop KC every year after 2020, there is no reason why we should normalize losing to this enemy. There will be no participation trophy when our coordinators gets poached and we are back at square one. 1 Quote

BullBuchanan Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago I'm also extremely pleased with the team's performance this year. Win or lose, I was very encouraged by the way the team was prepared last week against a more talented Ravens team and was extremely pleased to see that they didn't play down tot he Broncos' level the week prior. I've been a vocal critic of McDermott since the day he was hired, but this season has been, by far, his best. He still had some bad looks in the regular season, but it's the first time I've ever seen his staff outcoach people. Earlier int he season, I gave the Bills a 5% chance to win the Super Bowl. I think that number is considerably higher now. I don't think they're favorites, but I can see an argument where they have as good a shot as anyone, because of how they're prepared and how they're executing. I think we are a better team than the Chiefs, but I don't "expect" us to win, nor will I be particular upset if we don't. However, the perfect scenario may have presented itself to us to actually win the whole damn thing this year, so I'll be on the edge of my seat. 2 Quote

There's no viable replacement out there. Johnson & Vrabel are not an option now. Belichick is in NC. McCarthy will likely get the Saints or Raiders job. Regardless, McD wouldn't be fired if the team lost 71-24. And great coaches were available. But...I'm of the opinion he should be gone with a loss. Specifically, one where his D is shredded. 1 minute ago, BullBuchanan said: I'm also extremely pleased with the team's performance this year. JP51 Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago I will not say I am happy with how far they made it... they have to beat the Chiefs and ultimately win it for me to be happy. I will say this.. they have exceeded the expectations that I had in the beginning of the year. 1 Quote
Generic_Bills_Fan Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago (edited) I’ve said a similar thing about broncos fans saying that so I’ve gotta apply this to the bills too. There’s just no such thing as ‘I’m happy with where they made it’ to me. Buffalo will likely always come in as the 2 seed having to get past KC at arrowhead, much like Denver will always come in as a 6/7 seed having to go on the road the whole way. KC isn’t going anywhere and they get to draft players/make moves in free agency too. the bills already do beat them in the regular season and since nobody else can really do it with any consistency it’s not enough to flip the seeding at some point you’ve gotta win this exact game, it’s not gonna get a whole lot easier. KC only has some exploitable holes because they uncharacteristically whiffed on a few OT picks/free agency acquisitions. Edited 15 hours ago by Generic_Bills_Fan 1 Quote
