I felt like Josh would have marched us down the field and scored for the win. I'm sure happy with the outcome but all I could think of was the most "Billsy" thing, the Ravens recovering the kick and more heartbreak for us. Hopefully we passed the curse to them lol I agree, in the moment I was almost wishing he'd caught it. Quote
Buddy Hix Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Ravens have rings, they aren’t not on our level of misery…not even close Quote

There are teams that always seem to be awful, have never really drafted an elite Quarterback to lead them, and never really seem to come close. Cleveland is the most obvious, for all the reasons you stated. Detroit still hasn't made a Super Bowl either. Arizona basically had that one shot with Kurt Warner's career winding down. None of these franchises have even experienced long-term success during the modern era. Then you have us. On the doorstep multiple times, but unable to finish the job. Our 1990's roster had multiple Hall of Famers, including at Quarterback. Now struggling to break-through again, despite having possibly the best QB in the entire NFL. I can't think of another team who has been so close, so many times, with zero rings to show for it. The next closest may be Cincinnati, especially if they fail to get one with Joe Burrow. Yeah, the Ravens have plenty of reason to be upset and disappointed after the last couple years. But they were still on top of the world twice, so I'm not willing to lump them with us. For sure Baltimore is not on a level of pain with us. But having lived in Cleveland since the 90's I feel the level of their pain is well beyond ours, same with Detroit. We were on their level until the Super Bowl years. I can see how someone would feel the disappointment of losing the Superbowls trumps everything, but I feel this is shortsighted. It was a hell of a ride with amazing football save one game a year. In my life, it beat the hell out of the seventies and most of the eighties. Quote

What a story it would be.. and the Bills better freaking win 😂 36 minutes ago, Juice_32 said: I agree, in the moment I was almost wishing he'd caught it. I was happy he dropped it.. but then thought, “maybe we’re better off letting Josh go finish this..” I will say, to shut the media up, it would have been better if Josh just took the ball, marched down the field and finished the game himself. On the other hand, the win is ALL that matters so the haters can hate all they want. 1 1 Quote

Like the Bills, 4 years in a row ending just before our super bowl run. Starting in the 86 season which ended in Denver with a 97 yard broncos touchdown drive which became known as The Drive, The Byner fumble you mentioned, again against the Broncos following the 87 season, a one point loss to the Oilers in the 88 wild card game or they would have come here for the divisional game, and losing again against the Broncos in the AFC championship game following the Harmon drop. Then they move to Baltimore and win a super bowl a few years later, pretty sure it was before getting a new Browns team. It was and the ultimate insult to fans i am sure 1 Quote

I also remembered the Harmon Drop and the disbelief and disappointment I experienced. Do not feel sorry for them. Bunch of thugs. Quote
