I have read about the incredible preparation Sean McDermott did for the Ravens game(studied every play by the Ravens this season). Going so far as to sign former Baltimore QB Anthony Brown to the practice squad to help the Bills prepare a defense for Lamar Jackson.

The way the Bills countered the Ravens showed that they made some worthwhile corrections and that they were the most prepared team on the field.  The Bills were called for only one penalty for a total of 10 yards.  He also made the critical call to go for the three points when they were 4th and a long two yards from scoring after Josh lost yards on the 3rd down play.  Clock management was excellent and even the coin toss worked out well.

Well done coach McD !

It was a good defensive gameplan and the defense was very hyped to play. Even in the second half when the defense was starting to get a bit grinded down the defense still made the big play with the amazing peanut punch. McD made a great gameplan and the defense executed it. Just a true signature coaching job that I think he really needed to display. It doesn't get easier next week McD's gotta come up with a way to slow down Mahomes and Kelce.

Sean did a damn good job against a really good team.

We have waited years for a defense that stepped up in playoff games instead of fading away and we have finally gotten it...

In both games, the D provided masterclasses on how to win playoff games.

I love it when posters state that Sean can't "get the team up" for big games!!  This version of the Bills is different.  This is HIS Team.  It's "UP" all the time!!

The one penalty called on Dawkins stole an early drive from us and shouldn't have been called.

I think this was the first game with no presnap penalties, which shows that they were focused.

Reminiscent of how the Bengals and Chiefs would be middling defenses during the year but then turn it on in the playoffs. If we get that same defensive effort versus the Chiefs, we win that game by 2 scores.

Not a huge deal, but the Bills were called for two penalties. One was declined.

There would still be a surprise.  Andy Reid is a nightmare.

and the work is not done.  We have two more hills to climb...and it requires every bit of Sean's intelligence to out scheme them.  And both are going to be away from the comfort of High mark stadium

Not that this isn't true, but the Ravens also have two issues

They're flawed. When down they don't do well, they lost games they should have won.

Lamar is a deck chair in the playoffs.

Now that McD has guys like Josh and Terrell leading the troops and an OC & DC he can trust, we’re finally seeing the best version of the whole production.

McDermott has one more (well 2) obstacles to overcome. Beat the Chiefs in the playoffs, something he's never done. And obviously, win the superbowl. For now though, let's just annihilate the Chiefs

Agreed.   It’s not fair… but this is the playoffs.  They just beat the best team in the league that no one gave them a chance to beat.  …now..   we get the bestest team in the league that we’ve never beaten when it mattered.  This game is it!!   Lay it all on the line.     If they have been holding anything back.  Now is when you unleash it all!!  No lead is safe, no game plan is good enough. And there is no good enough till the final whistle is blown!
