Elam always seems to perform well when called upon.

Very surprised that Taylor Rapp's injury may not be as serious.  He looked done last night.

Elam does well as a boundary corner against the chiefs because they often play to the middle and find the seams meaning he does decent at pushing the play inside and outside/to the hash.

His speed makes the difference to make it work.

hate to say this, but I have to think the Taylor rapp is “day to day” is the same thing as zay flowers being “questionable.” Rapp was carted off the field!

I was wondering what kind of injury goes from dude can’t walk to nah I’m good overnight? Deep bone bruise?

Also re: Benford in the protocol, do we know he actually sustained a concussion? Players can work through the protocol without actually haven’t gotten concussed.

I don't think anyone said Rapp "can't walk".  He walked to the sidelines, got evaluated then was carted off.  Absolutely no need to make that walk to locker room, if in pain/trainers didn't know severity.  He also wasn't ruled out immediately.  It could very well be a bruise/jammed his hip.

We only know Benford is in protocol.  He was interviewed after game in locker room, and some noted he wasn't even acting like he had a head injury.

Who knows, but I'd expect both these guys are ready for Sunday.

Funny you mentioned bone bruise. That’s what I guessed when it happened. That’s based on zero medical knowledge!

They thought it might be a torn labrum.  Seems like that has been ruled out, unless the day-to-day is BS.

The last I remember of Milano he was one on one vs a 300+olinemen and trying to will his way through him. Not sure if he wore himself out there

It was really strange- Saw the replay last night. His last play happened and then I believe it was the 2 minute warning.

So I'm not sure if it was a fatigue issue, since he would have had rest after the 2 minute warning, unless he truly had nothing left.

But the weird part when he was out-  I saw him on the sidelines with his helmet on. Not near the injury tent or anything.

So who knows what happened, bit of a strange one

The human being in me wants Benford to sit. Concussions are obviously no joke. The fan in me wants him on the field

McD was asked and he said he has to check with the training staff and is unsure if he was injured. 🤨

I get so OCD when the Bills have significant injuries that it's about the only thing I will check over and over (for updates) in the week leading up to the game.  It drives me bonkers.  In this particular case, with Benford, knowing that it happened on his final play and knowing that final play was an onside kick recovery makes it that much more agonizing.  And in this particular year, the "SURPRISE INJURIES" that pop up after the game has been a royal pain in the arse on top of it all.

So, I'm extremely anxious for tomorrow's injury report as far as Benford goes.  Last week, Ray Davis was already practicing in a Limited capacity on Wednesday.  I know that with concussion protocol, when a player is Limited by Thursday, it is typically a positive sign.

BUT if he is a DNP tomorrow, I don't know what to make of that.

You'd imagine, with what is at stake, whatever/whoever helped Davis advance through the protocol relatively fast should apply to Benford as well.  YES, I realize it's concussion protocol and every case is (supposedly) treated differently, but let's be real, just going based on what we have SEEN this year:

We all witnessed Josh Allen taking the field minutes after getting his lights knocked out, and as for Davis, boy... he got knocked out too!

it's pretty clear that some-how, some-way these doctors are willing and able to make exceptions for important players and/or important stages of the season.

And, that is why I'd expect Benford to show up as Limited in practice tomorrow, but I'll be genuinely concerned about his chances of playing if he's a DNP...

This week's injury report cannot come soon enough.  Ugh.

I thought he played fine. He got called for a BS penalty -- BS in the sense that it should clearly have been a "let 'em play" decision by the ref given that it could have been called on either of them (and moreover this sort of thing happens all the time) -- but that was his only negative play.

Bobby was asked during the presser, and I don't remember the exact question, but his response was...I'll keep that conversation between me and him (Milano). That to me sounds like he was kept out for tactical/coaches decision type reasons, but I don't know. Doesn't sound like he was injured.
