L Ron Burgundy Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Well, I don't totally agree but there's some truth to the medias opinion. Our offense was getting get punched in the gut in the 2nd half and Baltimore only stopped themselves. If we'd lost we'd be pissed at McD for not being more aggressive on offense. But we won, so he was right. Now do we go with the same game plan against KC? My guess is no but who knows? Quote

The point is, he DID win it. Nothing close to an INT or a fumble. Few penalties. Napoleon said the best action when your opponent is making a mistake is not to interfere. When your opponent is turning it over and dropping passes, you just keep on keeping on, and let the other guys realize they're not the better team. Quote

All 4 losers turned the ball over 11 times in total. Quote

Baltimore was/is a better team than the Bills, but: -Head-to-Head: 1-1 -Record: Buffalo 13-4, Balt 12-5 (plus we purposefully pooched the last game of the year vs. the Pats---could have had two wins on Balt) -AFC seeding: Buffalo #2; Baltimore #3 -We scored more points than Baltimore this year (only by 7, but still) -Conversely, their defense only allowed 7 points fewer than the Bills defense on the year -So, the teams are tied in point differential on the year -The two teams scored the same number of TDs on the year That's about as evenly matched as two teams could get (with a slight edge to the Bills based on record and seeding), but then there is this too : -We had a +24 turnover ratio, the Ravens had a +6 turnover ratio (not surprising this was the difference in the game as it's one of the only stats with a major advantage to either team). -Josh Allen > Lamar Jackson Buffalo: Two best wins: KC (15-2), Detroit (15-2) Two worst losses (not counting week 17): Hoston (10-7, div winner, lost div round playoffs); Rams (10-7, div winner, lost division round of playoffs) Baltimore: Two best wins: Buffalo (13-4), Washington (12-5) Two worst losses: Las Vegas (4-13), Cleveland (3-14) The only place the Ravens had it over the Bills this year was total yards. They had 1,119 yards more than us on the year (or 65.8 yards per game). But all of those extra yards did not equate to more points or more wins than the Bills (again, the Bills turnover prowess is probably the reason for that---giving our offense more short fields). And more yards than the Bills in the playoff game didn't help them advance either, did it?. So, how is Baltimore the better team again? What metric are people using? Just total yards without looking at any other stat? Or is it just the popularity contest known as Pro Bowl voting? Talent. All pro players. plus don't forget the Ravens had a tougher schedule. Their division is good, ours is crap. I'm not saying I agree, just what they are basing their info on imo. Quote

Also, the offensive output would’ve been quite different if Brady and co didn’t have the 21-10 lead. That was my only concern, how they turtled up in the 3rd. Well put my man. People forget if the Bills didn't get jobbed on that phantom hold and if they didn't as you said "turtled up" on the 2nd and Goal and settled for the FG all that followed wouldn't have meant squat. 1 1 1 Quote

Lamar at his post game press conference said that on that throw he just threw a second too early and didn't have time to check where the safety was. Yep. And the reason he didn't have that second was because Milano was blitzing him and closing in. That INT was due to Milano. So glad he's back! 2 minutes ago, Rubes said: All 4 winners combined had 1 turnover total. Gotcha. 1 Quote
hondo in seattle Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago The media has a short memory. Let's say we beat the Chiefs by 10 and then win the SB by 10. Outside of Baltimore, everyone will be talking about how great the Bills are, and the close Ravens game will mostly be forgotten. Let's say the Chiefs beat us. No one, outside of Baltimore, will care anymore that the Ravens lost a close game to the Bills thanks to mistakes. Quote

Bills played mistake free and we won. Ultimately, we were lucky to win, and we’ll need to be much better if we want to win next week. Badly outplayed for 1 half. The Bills kicked the ***** out of them for a half. I'd say that averages out, but I can math... Quote
