What’s the issue? It’s always this way, that’s how you generate clicks and people watching. This is not something even remotely new when they talk about a game. They always discuss what teams did to lose, pretty much ever since sports talk started (this was happening WELL before social media).

Cool-I’ll take the worse team next week to win and the worse team 2 weeks later to win. It’s the playoffs, just win the game. I will gladly have the Bills take the mantle of “worst team to ever win a Super Bowl”

Joe Marino, who does an excellent podcast, said it in the week before the game: in the playoffs, more games are lost than they are won. He thought this game would probably come down to who loses the game rather than who wins it.

 

Man, he was right. It's true.

The Chiefs win like 75% of their games because their opponent makes a big mistake in a big moment. That's championship football. The media is right about the narrative but they are wrong about the meaning behind it.

The better team won yesterday. The Bills scored 27 points on offense - enough to have won 9 out of the 10 playoff games played so far. They held King Henry in check. They forced two turnovers and cashed on another that was a dumb mistake by Lamar. The Ravens had plenty of opportunities, and they didn't get it done. 

 

Everyone thought the Ravens would push the Bills around, and they didn't let it happen. Suck it, everyone.

The Ravens made mistakes but I think the Bills are not getting credit for both making the Ravens into a situation where their margin for error was fairly low.

Buffalo could have put the game away if they had just QB sneaked twice. Instead they have Josh in the Shotgun. They were not clearly the "better" team. We missed some plays too. We didn't turn the ball over. The defense, of the winning team, MADE THE PLAYS that won the game.

Thats not my issue. My issue is there is genuine sadness amongst some in the media that Baltimore didn’t win which has me confused.

That's been the dumbest and strangest take of the day so far and it's been multiple media people saying this.  With a minute and a half and two TO's left the Bills were in a great position to win the game in regulation with a FG at the end.

People can say whatever they want and it doesn’t bother me much usually but the only thing that kind of irks me in this one is that 2 point play seems like it’s being portrayed as it would’ve won the game which is so far from the truth
