John Harbaugh Presser After the Loss - I always respected him

Pretty assertive and straightforward. Two points I will comment on

1. Half time adjustments. Of course he's not going to the details but you can tell pretty major adjustments from their side. On offense they went with big people as it's obvious personnel wise. On Defense it was more subtle but I guess stopping Cook and Allen run was high on their list. Bill countered but it took more than 2 drives to find something effective.
2. He kept saying 4 great games to the Superbowl. And this is a man who has done it twice. It sounds simple but it really has depth. The Bills of past few years are perfect examples. We had highs of high (perfect games against Pats, 13 seconds game), also lows. What I got is you need element of steadiness. This season the Bills is probably the most steady, as a team, during the Josh Allen's era. Ever since the early season high and low ended in the Texans game, I don't recall the Bills' performance fluctuated a great deal.

And that's true, this years Bills team is as steady as ever.

They also aren't straying too far from the system that seems to be working for them, however, i'm sure KC is taking notes.

Harbough IMO is a very underrated coach.  He has taken that organization through various forms and they are always competitive.  A few years ago when they was talk about firing him, I thought they were crazy to even entertain the idea.

I think he had some good points about football and that you don't have to draw these cosmic conclusions about teams or players based on individual games. But I do think he didn't give the Bills enough credit, only talked about the good things his team did, and excused away any bad things they did, including the poor decision to not run Henry more in the 2nd half.

Every "talking head" during the game yesterday were just baffled that the Ravens went away from Henry in the 2nd half........he was just starting to roll and getting a full steam of head, carrying guys downfield on his back.

I'm sure that if the Ravens were committed to running the ball in the 2nd half, I don't think we would have stopped much.

 

Lucky for us, the Ravens went away from Henry and relied on Lamar's arm.

Harbaugh is an excellent coach, but I think that he has a bad habit of outsmarting himself

 

He has a Top 5 QB, Top 5 RB, and Top 5 Defense - with the ability to just plow through teams because of their dominant physicality

And yet, year after year, they seem to play down to their level of competition in the regular season, and go away from their strengths in the playoffs

He's another Mike Tomlin. Living of fumes of a Super Bowl and just enough to get his team back in playoffs but not advance far. You can blame Lamar but Harbaugh tied himself to him once Flacco fell apart. Yet Flacco played out his mind during their Super Bowl run if not mistaken.

I give him more credit than Tomlin. I don't think he had HoF QBs winning his Superbowls. That is HARD to do in modern NFL. And He did twice.

I don't think it makes any sense with these comments.   The Ravens absolutely choked the Bills defense with the running game of Henry and Hill.  The Bills couldn't stop them...But they also scored on their 2nd half drives except for the fumble by Andrews.    

 

Lamar was complimentary and scored a TD in the final minutes to reduce the deficit to two...It is not like Lamar made a ton of mistakes.

He's one of the best coaches in the NFL in my opinion. The whole ravens organization is class. They've done an incredible job assembling that roster.

Well, I think we could also acknowledge Ray Lewis here. Lewis leading that defense is why the Ravens were a SB contender and winner. Also Harbaugh had some of Bilick's team. I never understood why Bilick was fired either. His Ravens made the Steelers' lives a nightmare and it was the underpinning of the rivalry it is now.

The only thing I take exception with from his coments is " We played well eneough to Win" Evidently you did not. Did you loose by accident?
