I was surprised to see that stat this morning. And, as we know, that 1 penalty wasn't really a penalty.

It's hard to overstate how important this was to the win.  Combined with zero turnovers, we played relatively unspectacular football, but it was efficient and basically mistake-free.

McDermott & the coaches deserve a lot of credit for this.  The team was disciplined and didn't beat themselves.

Totally agree, especially with the pre-snap stuff.

But I have been wondering whether these officials were also out to lunch, which led to very few penalties.  How were no defensive holding penalties called the entire game, when really both teams were playing a lot of man? Then you see Andrews just violently shove his defender to the ground and no OPI called? Makes me think there was a ton of uncalled grabbing and holding occurring.

As others have said elsewhere, it was prime "Patriots football".  You watch and think, "that team isn't any better than us, how do they keep winning?". It's the little things.

And it wasn't even a penalty on the Dawkins hold who essentially got penalized for his technique being too good. Should have been a goose egg.

As Belichick always told his teams on their first day of meetings:

"Before we can figure out how to win games, we have to first figure out how not to lose them. Most games are lost, not won."
