TD716 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Last touchdown we did not have our number one defensive line out there 3 out of 4 were backups , Epinesa was the lone starter. No pressure at all, looked comical. Also, in cold weather you need to keep you best players muscles warm, best way to do that is to keep them in the game. Staff needs to rethink DL rotation in cold weather or at least have numerous warmup bikes on the sideline. Space heaters keep skin warm not sure if they keep deep muscles warm. Quote

You should contact the Bills, I'm sure they have no idea about this. 1 Quote
Sweats Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago ............maybe our FO didn't get the memo or perhaps they misunderstood the assignment?!? Quote
MJS Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I don't think they agree with you. Or the rest of the NFL who rotates their defensive lines as well. 1 Quote

The first line had rushed hard before the great play by Lamar they tried to rotate to get fresh bodies in and got caught in a substitution look that they probably would admit wasn't ideal. But what do you do? Keep guys in who are worn down or go to fresh legs even if they are your backups? The best players weren't out because they were cold they were out because they had rushed their assess off chasing Lamar trying to stop the drive at source. Quote
LabattBlue Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago No need to crap on the OP. He is right…if you insist on this extreme rotation, at least makes sure your best DL are on the field with the game on the line. 2 4 1 Quote
T.E. Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago The lack of pressure probably didn't have much to do with who was out there. The defensive plan is always to be reactive rather than proactive and hope it works out somehow. Yes, they gave up an 88-yard TD drive with no resistance at all, but the Ravens bungled the two-point play, so to this board, that means McDermott can do no wrong. Quote
colin Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago our d, especially the dl, was just flat out gassed. the two horrible drives to start the second by the O and the trucking by the ravens run game on the one long td drive to henry took what they had left out of them. im still not a big fan of the mcd scheme on d, but the full picture here is that our starters are just about average or slightly better, and the back ups just aren't good enough. one thing i liked to do when i was handicapping games is look at the lineups and ask which players on team a would start on team b and vice versa. for these teams i think maybe groot (maybe not), one or in a stretch 2 of our OL, and benford would be their cb2. i think josh is better than lamar, but they wouldn't start him over lamar, particularly with their scheme. such a massive disparity in talent.
