MJS Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Do you know how many game changing plays Taron Johnson has made for the team this year? Do you realize how difficult of a position it is that he plays? He has to be a run stuffer and a coverage expert. He has to be a linebacker and a corner at the same time. He has to cover all over the field. Yeah, he is going to give up plays sometimes. That's how it is. And when you are playing on an ice field, that puts defenders at a disadvantage reacting to receivers. Your post just shows a supreme lack of understanding about his role and what he is asked to do. He has the hardest job on the defense and it isn't even close. An impossible job, really, which is why he will give up a play here or there throughout the course of a game. 41 minutes ago, NI Bills Fan said: This team will never win anything until they get rid of Taron Johnson and Josh Allen. HOUSE Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Players are banged up this time of year. Here is my list... EVERY PLAYER, except Mitch Trubisky Sam Martin and Tyler Bass Quote
jaybeezee Posted 8 hours ago Author Posted 8 hours ago I didn't say he sucks, but he was covering the late td, as well as the huge first down. He is a warrior and I never doubted his work ethic. 1 Quote

Sounds like a guy who doesn’t watch the games much. How many receivers and backs does he chase down. He’s the most physical corner we have and has a nose for the ball. Did you see how much time Lamar had to throw in the second half? That’s why his no name receiver came open on their last drive. Andrews like Kelce find little open areas and Lamar just runs around until they come open. We’re not playing for the AFC Championship without Johnson. Who’s next on your “major liability list” Shakir? Quote
kkim0904 Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Yes he missed 2-3 men coverage but he is best we got in Secondary. Quote

He does play a very important and difficult position but it does seem like he’s lost a step in pass coverage This is what I was saying and it is a liability. People act like I said to cut the man! Talk about sensitive. Quote

You're an Idiot Officially Someone should send you a damned tshirt. The man is literally recognized as one of, if not THE best nickel corners in the league. He's also Got that Dawg in him. The man LITERALLY dislocated his shoulder on a play during the game, had it reduced on the sideline, and went back in the game. Quote
jaybeezee Posted 8 hours ago Author Posted 8 hours ago Watch the all 22 and tell me that he wasn't the target on several crucial plays. Quote
Generic_Bills_Fan Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Why do the negative posts keep getting worse the more we win 🤣 should we win the superbowl I just can’t wait for the compilation of these kind of posts haha 1 Quote

Wayne Cubed Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago He's a liability, on a few plays where he was in man coverage, on a slick snowy surface, which is an advantage to the reciever and oh yea, when the defensive line could get not pressure? Did I get that right? Yea are aware he didn't play in the first Ravens match up and the Bills were trounced, correct? Quote

Neither did Milano, Bernard, but what I saw was them target his area and the people he was covering more than anyone else in coverage. Again, I didn't say he was trash, I just stated that he will targeted in KC. Keep receipts if you like. Being a liability does not mean that he sucks. Quote

I mean…the guy was an all pro last year that frequently gets the toughest matchup on the field and is used in so many different ways. Nickel corner is arguably the hardest position in football. He’s not getting targeted because he’s ‘bad‘ you replace taron with anyone else in the league outside a small handful of guys and we get worse. If he can’t go we are in trouble Quote

He was targeted in this game, mostly because Likely was their best option and that’s who the Bills decided to cover him with in the game. I have thought his play has slipped a bit since he was an all pro player but he is still a very good player. The Scout/Coach in me has wondered how much longer high play he has due to his body taking a lot of punishment as an undersized tackler and being asked to cover the best slot WR/TEs in the game. I have also wondered if maybe someday that Bishop develops into that guy as his college tape seemed to better fit that role than deep safety 1 Quote

Taron Johnson didn’t have his best game, but he was FAR from a liability. I think he will have a huge bounce back against the Chiefs. He always plays well against them. Plus, he won’t have to be as concerned about defending the run and QB scrambling like he did for Lamar. Mahomes has wheels and should always be accounted for in that department, but Lamar is perhaps the best pure runner we have ever seen at the QB position. TJ can now play his natural position next week Quote

Buffalo_Stampede Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago I don’t even think Deion Sanders in his prime could cover a player for as long as Johnson had to cover at times yesterday. 1 Quote
