Taron is a liability!

I’m not necessarily saying Taron hasn’t lost a step.  Everyone does with age.  But damn, there are so many threads pointing out supposed individual deficiencies right now when this TEAM is two wins away from being heroes of the city.  
 

I guess it’s anxiety and needing to pass the time, but honestly a snapshot of the topics on this board would make me assume the last game was a regular season loss.

Yeah I've been critical of Bishop but no bad plays jumped out to me yesterday. One play I remember he made a good tackle after a catch was made in his area. We got pushed around up front in the 2nd half, that's the reason their offense started finding so much success.

He makes plays and is tasked to do a lot but he does get beat at times in man to man coverage.   With that said, I love the guy and he's a leader and the Bills will need him at his best next week against Kelce and the rest of the Chiefs.

Taron Johnson had one of his lesser games yesterday because the matchup was a bad one. The entire defense did enough to win.

He’s really good. I like him a lot. I personally wish we’d play more base 4-3. We have some LBs that can really run and cover. We are the team in the league that can MOST handle pass coverage in a base defense and we play the most nickel. The only thing I don’t like about Tarron is he’s hurt literally every game. I know that’s not his fault but at some point….cmon. I’d love to see him moved to Safety at some point. Feels like much better value

It's not negative to address an area that we may need to focus on going into our biggest game. He will be targeted quite often by KC.

I think Taron Johnson will be fine. I've had a mild ac joint subluxation/ separation playing football and he'll be fine. It's annoying but you can play through it 

 

We have excellent depth too. We are built to win the super bowl

The man is literally recognized as one of, if not THE best nickel corners in the league.

He's also Got that Dawg in him.  The man LITERALLY dislocated his shoulder on a play during the game, had it reduced on the sideline, and went back in the game.

FWIW, our secondary back in the '90s was hardly the strength of this team.  In fact it was probably the weakest unit.  

 

Granted, we don't have the front-7 that we had back then, but we also have Allen.  

 

FWIW, we held the Chiefs to their lowest total yards in the regular season.  Houston held them to a mere 212 on Saturday, 162 passing, 50 rushing.  

 

The Chiefs are hardly trending offensively.  In fact, it's probably safe to argue that their offense is worn out.  No premier offensive players unless we count a TE that's nearing the end of his career and that averaged 8.5 Yards-per-Reception, down 30% from his career average, and with his lowest TD total (3) of his career.  

 

Kareem Hunt (728, 7, 3.6) shouldn't be of any significant concern, and after Kelce the only other receiver on their team that has posted more tha 500 yards receiving is the rookie Worthy (638, 6, 10.8).  

 

Have Milano shadow Kelce and cut Allen loose ...  we have to put the [offensive] pedal to the metal in this one, trying to play ball-control here is the wrong answer.

I don’t agree with liability.

 

i do think he has had pound for pound his worst year as a pro in some time. 

 

I love TJ. But he hasn’t been an All-Pro adjacent slot imo.
