Taron is a liability!

I know there are many who love Taron,  but imo is is a major liability. He gave up big play after big play and I am positive that Mahomes and Reid will target him.

 

It's not just this game, but there have been many this year that he gives up a big play.

Taron Johnson is one of the three best nickel defenders in the entire NFL.

I think you're the greatest, but my dad says you don't work hard enough on defense. And he says that lots of times, you don't even run down court. And that you don't really try... except during the playoffs.

Last night big bodied TE's had an advantage over a smaller DB like Johnson with the slippery conditions.  When they collided in the physical play that makes #7 elite it can result in the DB on the ground.  You saw it in the Eagles/Rams game where the Eagles TE was eating up the Rams.

He did not match up well with Baltimore,  that goes for pretty much our entire D.  I expect a better game from him vs KC

At times he has been disappointing including the middle of last season I thought he was pretty bad but he has the most duties on this defense by far. Likely is a stud and is better than Andrews at this point in their careers and he gave Taron problems last night. Didn’t help that Jackson had all day on some of his throws as they were just trying to hem him in

He did get beat. Snow and the reponsibility they give him is why we saw that. To me it looks like they give him the toughest assignments and isolate him to cover and just trust he can do the job. 

It helps eases the pressure on the rest of the defense. We just need to hope he steps up going forward.

Our corners need actual safety help. They get NONE. Hamlin actually interfered with TJ off the jump on one ply. He’s absolutely horrible in coverage and it’s insane that he keeps being put in as a starter. Hyde needs to be in for 2 more games alongside Bishop if Rapp is hurt
