I know…you literally can’t make this up…That’s what they were talking about followed by an irrellavant and inane reverse AFC draft. These two clowns couldn’t mail it in any harder. At least JJ in the morning work on topics and TRY. What do Dope and Lapdog have tenure ? They don’t even try. They chew up a whole hour every week talking gambling with trysta? Yikes. I am ashamed I know all this 1 Quote

He's got an energy about how he goes about his various roles that I like. I like that I know I am listening to a guy who is doing this in his town. Its easy for people to say he is a homer or whatever but I like his hometown feel. The good sports radio stations in the country have that. Here in DFW The Ticket which was maybe the best sports station in the country outside of old WFAN has that charm because the important guys were from the area not all but most. They hated Jerry and know the history of all the teams, like the old WFAN did. I find it a turnoff listening to guys who are like from pittsburgh and work in chicago and then on chicago radio talk about pittsburgh sports all day...just an example but I always hate that. In DFW they have a second sports station (used to have three) and its all guys like me from somewhere else and it just feels inauthentic or something to me. anyway yea I enjoy Sal. I absolutely love Buffalo plus for the same reasons. None of them are Buffalo people but they are upstate/western ny's.....yes I know mike catalana is a philly guy but he has been in rochester for like 40 years. Quote

Schopp certainly sounded like that on the post game. What a frigging tool that guy is. 1 Quote

I am ashamed I know all this Not to defend them at all, but I can add that it's no different this time of year on sports radio anywhere. Even in Atlanta with far more pro teams to discuss, and college football and basketball being huge here. The afternoon show on 92.9 down here spent over an hour debating which one of the 3 hosts is the "most cultured". But first they had to spend an hour debating what "being cultured" actually meant. It's a slow sports time of year, and only gets worse in a couple weeks post-Super Bowl. Quote
US Egg Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago I don’t listen as much as I used to. What year is Schopp’s kid in high school and is Bulldog’s kid still playing hockey? 2 Quote

Like you said, it makes sense and it's hard to blame him for it. The afternoon show is two guys who just don't want to be there anymore. Mike Schopp obviously has a lot of contempt for Buffalo in general and thinks he's too good for the market. Bulldog just needs to retire but for whatever reason can't. I don't hold it against him, I actually like his takes when he bothers to throw one out there. Sal was fine when he started but now he thinks he's part of the organization. He's never critical and the insight he provides is nothing more than any fan can witness for themselves. I had to stop following him on X because of the shameless self promotion. I heard him on KNBR with Greg Papa awhile back and he kept trying to be Greg's buddy saying that they should go out to dinner when SF comes to town. He asked him 3x lol. Silence means no Sal. Can you imagine him as the Sabres reporter? "They're one good trade from being a Cup contender." Quote
