The Bills best WR, Shakir, is still 5 yards behind the line of scrimmage when Allen has to release that ball. That sure is a mighty fine play design right there with your season on the line.

Watch it. The line of scrimmage is the 46. Shakir is at the 36, 10 yards behind the line of scrimmage, when Allen is in trouble. Unbelievable that your best receiver is 10 yards behind the line of scrimmage with your QB scrambling for his life looking down field for a target.

But, yes……Kincaid should have caught that. It is way worse than the Harmon drop.

Everyone talks about Shakir, he would have caught that so far behind the line and Chiefs then had time to close.

Plus they think that was some sort of sure pass when Allen is running in the other direction. He even stops a bit to make that throw he would have been crushed and the ball wouldn’t have come close to Shakir.

Allen cannot waste downs on crucial final drive,  the early downs and getting nothing was a killer. Being 3rd and 10 takes away many options and plays into what Spags can call.

Really? This is what we are thinking this morning? He will have his moments.

Yes.  I saw Daltons failures in the first two playoff games, and this season,  and I got chastised my many for saying Dalton has been disappointing.  I tried to warn TBD.  I root for Dalton, but is something is not right.  He is nowhere near the player he was in college, and I’m still perplexed.

Since the first time I saw him rookie season he didn’t look like a first round pick, even when he played decently. I watched him a bit in college as well, and he looked great. During his rookie NFL season he looked like a guy who falls to the ground at the first sign of contact, and had zero run after catch ability.

He was already an older rookie when he entered the league, which likely means he peaked physically during his college years. In many cases, he was a man playing against boys—physically more developed and mature than his younger counterparts. The difference between being 22/23 years old versus 19/20 can be quite significant, even in subtle ways. At the college level, being slightly faster, stronger, and mentally more mature can provide a considerable edge.

However, at his age, it’s unlikely there’s much room left for physical improvement or untapped potential. Now that he’s competing against fully developed professionals, his limitations have been exposed, and he seems to be just another guy (JAG). That’s fine in itself, but the issue lies in the resources and hype that were invested in acquiring him. Unfortunately, his performance so far hasn’t justified those expectations.

Said it earlier in the season, I thought Knox outplayed him this year. Once Kincaid went down, Knox stepped up and played decent.  Continued to outplay Kincaid when he came back.

Kincaid won’t be the star TE they drafted. Unfortunately.

Every pass to him is somehow just a hair off. He finally has the chance to make a huge play and botches it. He's bricked plenty and it's not like he's making highlights to make up for it.

Great angle of it

1. Hot take .... It was not an "easy catch." He had to make a big adjustment backwards. But sometimes you need guys to make big plays, and he failed to do that. Great effort by Josh to give him a chance.

2. Man if protection held up he was WIDE OPEN

Pete, I’ve wondered aloud this same thing. Took a lot of heat for criticizing him in the offseason but I stand by it. He needed to get bigger and stronger. He didn’t. He needed to work on breaking easy tackles. Obviously he didn’t. He needed to get tougher to cover and fight for the football. He didn’t. What he does is enjoy himself playing halfazz football. He’s just OK but nowhere near the level of exceptional talent he was touted as when he was Drafted.

I’ll just repost this and add Kincaid is lazy

Maybe he's like a AAAA baseball player.  Too good for AAA, but not good enough for MLB>

Worthy fought through bishop for a catch (BS call, but he did as much physically as he could).

Kincaid can get off or around any physical play at all.  Could not stretch to get the first, and small contact bad him dropping a ball earlier.

He's really just a big not fast wr

How often do you see Dalton falling down, flailing around, missing a pass?  Dude can’t stay on his feet

Where are the mismatches?  Where are the big plays?  Why are you not clicking with Josh?  Is Brady to blame?  Opposing TEs continually find soft spots in our coverage, and catch large chunk plays, game after game.  Why can't Kincaid?

9 different Bills have had most receiving yards in a game.  Kincaid has 0.

We know Kincaid has mitts, and he looks smooth sometimes.  Hes got size, and some speed.  Knox is a much more complete TE, yet Kincaid still struggles

Will Kincaid make any big plays against KC?

I like Dalton, and I am rooting for him.  But Im perplexed why he is so underwhelming.

Thoughts?

GO BILLS!

And he's usually sure handed but when he was needed in the clutch he pulled a Diggs ... I'd rather them go to Knox in the clutch I believe ...

We all expected him to be a dominant player in the NFL and he just looks like a handsome kid who’s happy to be there and can’t really do a whole lot except sing Mr. Brightside.
