Sweats Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago So, Larry (our office Ravens fan) actually brought up a good point this morning....... Even if Andrews caught the 2-point conversion and tied the game, there was still 1:33 on the clock, which he believed the Bills would have had plenty of time to go down the field and score a FG to win the game anyways. I don't know, man........we weren't having a lot of success in large plays all game long, so the chances of the Ravens suddenly just allowing us to march down the field seems suspect. Thoughts?!? 2 2 8 7 Quote
thronethinker Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago In that moment it would have become all Josh. He would have to improvise every play to get to FG range. 5 8 2 Quote
Bob in STL Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago I think Josh would welcome the chance to have the ball and win on the last drive. 22 6 Quote
RichRiderBills Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago We were not trying to get long plays though. I would have liked that position. Glad it never needed to go. 4 1 Quote

I kinda felt like we actually would at least make the march bass making it was obviously a good question in that cold etc... but if Josh is the MVP he makes that drive 3 Quote

In the modern NFL, especially with the new kickoff rules that place the ball at the 30 (mostly), it is very hard to stop a team from getting into FG range. You only need about 40 yards. But I don't fault Harbaugh and Monkin there for scoring too early. For the Ravens, putting the game into the hands of their defense is a good decision. 2 1 Quote

I would have given the Bills about a 90% chance of marching down the field for a short, game winning FG. Most of the reason Buffalo didn't have success passing the ball is that their game plan was to rely on the running game to bleed the clock and keep the Ravens offense off the field. It almost back fired but it worked out okay. IF they HAD to pass the ball at the end of the game, I think Brady would then open up the playbook and let Josh go win the game. It can be argued that he should have done that from the very beginning but a win is a win. Go Bills!! 9 Quote
BRH Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago I had complete faith in Josh. I was serene even as I thought the game was about to be tied. Ravens fans and media glazers telling you they felt the same about Lamar after the first half are lying. 1 Quote
No_Matter_What Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago I have zero doubt that Josh gets us to the FG range. It would be up to Bass, but I'd trysh him too. We were in good shape once we were up 8. 4 1 Quote

I'm thankful we will never find out. I would have liked to see Allen have the opportunity to have the signature drive to win the game. But there's also the distinct possibility Brady would have called a run and two of those pointless outside screens and we punt. Or we get left with a long FG attempt when the weather was getting at it's worst. 1 Quote
Steptide Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago On the Ravens last drive I kept saying the bills couldn't let them get a td. And Ofcourse they let them get a td. I just saw it in my head - Ravens tie, bills quick 3 and out, Ravens get in fg range and win the game. Thankfully the Ravens did not convert either of their 2 pojnt conversions 1 Quote
Rigotz Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago We had two time outs as well. Late in the game in that situation, I would have been supremely confident in Josh. Nervous for the situation, but confident in Josh. 4 1 Quote
JerseyBills Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago That was my thought pre snap to the 2 pointer. Was very confident, pretty sure we had at least 2 T Os and especially that Bass seemed to be in the zone and deserves a ton of credit 1 Quote
dhbGT500 Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Funny...a LOT of the media is talking about the failed 2-point conversion, as if that would've won the game for the Ravens or something... completely ignoring the fact, that we had 1:33 left and 2 timeouts, to move down the field. Would've been nice if we had just punched in that last TD, instead of having to take the FG. 4 5 Quote
Sweats Posted 21 hours ago Author Posted 21 hours ago I just have flashbacks in the Texans game when we absolutely blew any chance of marching down the field with atrocious play calling.......i mean, Brady dialing up some really piss poor plays from our own endzone blew the game for us on that one. Would this Ravens game have been any different? If we didn't get a 1st down or work our way down the field at that point, we would probably have given the ball back to Baltimore and who knows what happens after that in the outcome. 1 1 2 Quote
NewEra Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago While I was happy that we had won the game the moment Andrews dropped the pass, I was disappointed that we didn’t have the opportunity to watch 17 drive us down for the W Quote

Thoughts?!? i think we should have scored 7 instead of 3, having been at the 2 yard line before that last drive of the Ravens. would have put the game away and we wouldnt be worrying about it this morning. maybe we kick a field goal to win if the Ravens had tied it, or maybe the offense that hadnt done much the whole 2nd half gets stopped. either way im glad it worked out in our favor. strive_for_five_guy Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago Did Josh or anyone else comment on how slippery the field was? Maybe I’m wrong, but seemed like Josh wasn’t scrambling as much last night, which I was thinking might have been due to the slick field. Quote
Dafan Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago Everyone was celebrating the 2pt drop by Andrew's. I was freaking out. I believed we would have driven down and won the game before overtime. But once that drop happened....my stomach turned. In old Bills fashion I thought "f***, now Ravens are gonna get the onside kick and Tucker will get the game winning field goal." That drop had me more worried than if he had caught it. 3 2 1 Quote
