It's funny though I had a Browns and Cowboys buddy both tell me he's very professional and a great guy but the passion is not there. Like he's just there for the paycheck. That is kind of a subjective judgement though. Maybe he is the hero next week, who knows. 2 Quote

MJS Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago The Bills ran the ball on an icy field. Passing was secondary. When they did pass, it was dumo offs and quick stuff over the middle to Shakir. The weather and the game plan made outside and down the field stuff less of a feature. I think the weather will be better next week. But I still expect the Bills to run it a lot. Quote
turbo044 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I think his first love is chess. If he does want to earn a nice next paycheck though, he may want to show up next week and hopefully therafter Quote

I saw a couple last night that for sure should have been holding penalties on the Ravens D that weren't called and easily should have been so there may have been a bit of that going on too . But he hasn't been getting playing time since Keon came back There has to be something going on behind the scenes Just very odd to me He's been a legit WR1 his whole career Hopkins in KC has been exceptional for example Quote

Mack Hollins is taking the snaps from Cooper. It is what it is. Cooper is just part of the WR rotation, he’s not major part of the offense. Quote

Same reason Hollins was in so much, despite nearly begging the refs to hand him 15 yards - he’s top 2 blocking WRs in the league, and he’s not number 2. Quote

DeAndre Hopkins had 0 catches on 1 target against Houston. He has not topped 90 yards yet since being traded to KC. His average stat line is 3.73 catches per game for 39.73 yards. His longest catch is 35 yards. So he is averaging less than 4 catches for 40 yards per game and that is exceptional?! I do agree that I think something is going on with him and he hasn't been the game changer we all wanted the Hopkins statement is patently false. 3 Quote

SCBills Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) Hollins and Coleman are monster run blockers, which Brady loves and keeps us incredibly difficult to defend with the ability to kill teams through the run or pass. That said.. when the Offense bogs down like we saw in the 3rd Q yesterday, you want to see plays dialed up and plays made by our outside WR's. Hollins did what we expect Hollins to do. Keon had a 5 yard catch that was so close to breaking for a TD and drew a huge DPI down the field. Cooper did..nothing. We know he can, we saw it against these very same Chiefs. I hope we see it again. Somebody not named Shakir or a Running Back will hopefully emerge in these next two games.. Be it Cooper, Coleman and/or Kincaid. Edited 1 hour ago by SCBills Quote

Magox Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I mentioned this in another thread that the popular theory that the Bills aren't throwing it to their wideouts is because they can't separate. There is some truth to that but this offense and it's offensive structure is not a wide receiver friendly sort of offense. Gabe Davis and Diggs production took a noticeable dip after Brady took over and this year we've seen many games where the wideouts aren't targeted that much at all. Honestly, I think its a combination of some separation issues, play designs and Josh not having the trust to throw it to them. It's been working so its hard to argue the results but there has to be more play designs to beat these tight man coverages. Josh trusted Amari in two hugely critical third down passes against the Chiefs earlier in the year and in order to beat them again, they will need to do the same. Quote
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago When they brought him in, wasn't Coleman hurt? And maybe also Kinkaid?? Samuel also seemed to be struggling more from an injury early on? So now Coleman is back, has a full year of working in the system. Hollins is the best blocker so he's not coming off the field very often, same with Shakir not coming off as he's the most reliable WR. Samuel also seems to be doing better these days. So factoring in all this just not snaps left for Cooper unless someone gets dinged up and add to that he is the new less experienced guy left. Quote
Brianmoorman4jesus Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago He definitely seems very laid back. I doubt highly that he’s upset about getting so few targets. He doesn’t seem to care Quote
gjv Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I don’t think Cooper and Allen have meshed at all. Perhaps, if Cooper is back next season, they can develop a rapport. Quote
