Certainly not a long term big $$$ contract

As someone else posted, it could be injuries

I'm with you, I just see a guy going through the motions.

I dont even disagree... but we dont KNOW either.  Take a room full of loud, jacked, and rich frat boy type personalities in a locker room; throw a quiet intellect who likes to ball, and you wouldnt know the difference between the two.

It wouldnt surprise me if thats it, and hes here for a paycheck.  hes professional enough to play at a high level and NOT love it.... also wouldnt surprise me if our run game development has naturally taken him off the field.

could simply be, him and Josh havent synced up yet... theres g2 be a reason NFL is the only league we see next to 0 in season trades... nor do we see barely any player for player trades.  if it worked better, we would see it more.

Smoke and mirrors?

Playing Possum??

While i certainly hope we wouldnt intentionally Nerf him from the offense for an entire season and 2 playoff games...  something I have been screaming for is Ray Davis Redzone Carries, and it 100% seems like we saved that look for playoff deep stretch.  That one would make a lil more sense to save though, since we have Josh and Cook for the RZ, which is more than good enough to have gotten by with.

I just wish we were getting more out of him.

It's a shame Cooper hasn't stepped up, nor has Coleman really.  Mack has been better than advertised, but that doesn't mean he should be on the field as much as he is.  Unfortunately it looks like the Bills still are in the market for a #1 WR

Cooper is only a young rookie. He just needs time to develop. I’m sure Mack was garbage as a young player. Also look at Marvin Harrison Jr. He was supposed to light it up but wasn’t even the best rookie.

The Bills should let Amari walk after the season and go after this veteran who can make the big catches.   Good size, great route runner, makes contested catches and blocks very well.   He’s been and won in the big games and would be within price range to obtain.

When you watch Hollins do all the blocking he’s doing particularly in the box like the Rams use their guys then it will make sense.

Cooper is going to play 20-30 snaps at most based on the personnel Brady wants running this system.

Diggs heard “I need WRs that are going to wham on an LB” and was like yea I’m good.

I don’t think Cooper and Allen have meshed at all. Perhaps, if Cooper is back next season, they can develop a rapport.

On the one pass thrown to him, Cooper hadn't even turned around to see the pass. It was out of bounds by the time he looked. Seems like he didn't run the pattern correctly.

This win against the Ravens was all runs and a Dink & Doink offense. The Ravens threw way more deep balls. Not all of them worked, but the Bills didn't even try any. And it wasn't the first time this season. Yet... they keep on winning. But let's be real: yesterday it was the D causing turnovers that won the game. The offense had a bad 2nd half.  It IS weird that with a canon arm QB we see no deep passes attempted.

Amari, Samuels, and Dalton are a mystery to me why they aren’t getting open, and not playing more

Knox and Coleman too. They simply have no idea how to use them. All the offensive success in the air is due to Allen making things happen.

You can put Cooper in the same boat as Von in this regard:

Players who are past their prime, and have limited opportunities to contribute. We don’t need either guy to play even 50% of snaps or regularly being asked upon to do the dirty work. However, when they’re called upon in a crucial moment, can step up and get it done.

You don’t need volume reps to break the game open. They aren’t who they used to be, but we only need a flash of it at the right moment and it’ll have all been worth it. We’ll see if it’ll come to be. I credit Beane with making the move given the state of the roster, low asset investment and potential return. Time will tell.

I think the KC game is where we need to open Cooper up, like i'm talking wide open........he hasn't done a whole lot for us since being here, so who would ever see it coming?

The KC game was the only one he really made a significant impact that I can recall.

And if you had to pick one regular season game where you'd want him to have an impact, that would be the one.

Like the poster just before you said, he can be worth the investment if he just makes one big catch at a crucial moment in a big game.  He can be valuable just for the threat he poses.

I couldn't care less whether he has a passion for the game.  He's a professional who will play hard for his paycheck whether he gets 0 targets or 10, and he doesn't create drama.  He's the anti-Diggs in so many ways.  Exactly what we needed at this point in time.

**Only speculation in this post but:

Don't forget these guys have private lives beyond football.  Didnt he recently have an excused absence from practice for something un-football related?

Is it possible that he has a personal issue (like family health) that's making it hard for him to concentrate on the game? Not sure what it would take to hold him out of a game.

The injury history is a huge question mark there
