JerseyBills Posted Monday at 01:25 PM Posted Monday at 01:25 PM I started the Quietly better WR thread and rightfully got bashed a bit but it's looking better now that Cooper seems to be WR5 Coleman, Hollins and even Samuel are getting more reps and yesterday I only remember Coop getting 1 target and barely saw him out there I'm just curious if anyone has any idea why? It's kind of baffling at this point, considering he's the most talented WR outside of Shakir at least My random opinion is his personality just isn't fitting with Josh and they can't seem to get on the same page? Curious to hear why what we thought was a legit #1 WR is riding the bench, I thought maybe Brady was holding back a bit but that's clearly not the case Still euphoric after last night, Go Bills 3 1 Quote
Steptide Posted Monday at 01:34 PM Posted Monday at 01:34 PM Don't know, but hoping he is a factor against the Chiefs. We desperately need some reliable reciever play other than Shakir. 4 4 Quote

Exactly, it's truly bizarre to me I just don't see how he suddenly gets playing time after rarely seeing the field since Coleman came back. Hope I'm wrong but something is weird with this situation 1 Quote
Straight Hucklebuck Posted Monday at 01:43 PM Posted Monday at 01:43 PM WGR and callers brought up a comment by McDermott a couple of weeks after Cooper got here, I couldn’t find it - but something to the effect of “Cooper is spending as much time in the training room as he is on the field”. He had the 30-yard TD against the Jets, but landed on his back and hit his head on the turf - 2 for 8 against the Broncos. It’s also the snap count being so low. It’s in the 30’s now. 1 Quote
BuffalOhio Posted Monday at 01:56 PM Posted Monday at 01:56 PM I wonder if it’s that he’s not a great run blocker with as much as they’re running the ball. 1 2 1 Quote
BuffaloBillyG Posted Monday at 02:00 PM Posted Monday at 02:00 PM They are going with Coleman's upside rather than Cooper's past play. Those two guys have similar skill sets. Hollins does the dirty work. Samuel looking healthy brings a skill set when he's on the field no other guy in the WR room has and has seemingly either passed or is now equivalent to Cooper on the depth chart. Also, Copper is the only WR in the room that hasn't been here through the off-season in camp getting reps. Working on timing. In short, he has no definitive role unless Coleman misses time. 1 1 Quote
Sweats Posted Monday at 02:00 PM Posted Monday at 02:00 PM I think the KC game is where we need to open Cooper up, like i'm talking wide open........he hasn't done a whole lot for us since being here, so who would ever see it coming? 1 1 Quote
oldmanfan Posted Monday at 02:02 PM Posted Monday at 02:02 PM Everybody eats. Brady keeps saying it, fans keep ignoring it. When Cooper is open Josh will get him the ball. When Brady see the favorable matchup he’ll call the play. 3 1 Quote

MikePJ76 Posted Monday at 02:07 PM Posted Monday at 02:07 PM My opinions on cooper are well known. i am shocked they have not run slants and skinny posts more often with him. He is perfect for those and crossers. but I honestly don’t care if he never catches a ball here again as long as the bills win. He won’t be back and he was really expensive costing a top 100 pick but if they win I don’t care. 4 Quote

SoCal Deek Posted Monday at 02:16 PM Posted Monday at 02:16 PM I just checked the Chiefs/Texans box score. Davonte Adams also had zero catches. 🤷🏼♂️ 1 Quote
SoonerBillsFan Posted Monday at 02:16 PM Posted Monday at 02:16 PM I don't offer him a contract this offseason unless he shows up these last 2 games Quote

I saw a couple last night that for sure should have been holding penalties on the Ravens D that weren't called and easily should have been so there may have been a bit of that going on too . Quote
