Let Ed Oliver cook.

Hopefully Ed plays with a chip on his shoulder. Obviously the chiefs trust Caliendo. Remember the bengals with backups handled our d line pretty well.

Hopefully this team is taking nothing for granted

I'll tell ya - no matter what happens, I'm glad I have my Bills family to lean on.  The people in my life, and on this board, and nationally.

We've all been through a lot. I'd argue more than any other fanbase, especially for fans of a certain age.  Epic heartbreak.  One more wouldn't break us.

I just don't see it going that way this time. It has a different feel. We're going to win this one tomorrow.

It really doesn’t make a difference.

Remember when the Bills DL got trucked by a bunch of Bengals third stringers?

I’ll believe it when I see it when it comes to the Bills DL dominating a game.

For now, we CANNOT go into a game expecting the Bills DL dominating ANYONE.

Yep. Eddie O’s play will go a long way in deciding this game. Need to get pressure on Mahomes with 4. This is the weakest oline the Bills have played all postseason, it needs to look that way tomorrow.

Listening to Sirius XM NFL. Jim Miller and Pat Korean both picked the Ravens saying the loss in the Bills secondary is too much for them to overcome. They also picked the Commanders, I think or at least really rallied behind Mahomes facing his successor in Jayden Daniels. It was interesting.

Both love Allen to a degree but said that the Chiefs defense will be the answer to stop Allen. The Spags has the answers when it matters to stop him and that they don't see the WR's being able to get touchdowns.

Further, they said the Chiefs running game will be the key for the offense. It was remarkable because one would possibly think after the Ravens game our defense can stop the run game.

Their takes are usually on point. Even last week they said that Buffalo has the ability to beat Baltimore. That we have done it and if we make the team rely on Jackson to win the game we might be able to rattle him. But, they took the Ravens.

There are many reasons I want us to win:

1) I'm a Bills fan

2) I'm tired of the Chiefs fans, they're not the Patriots.

3) the boneheads who say Mahomes is better than Brady for having 3 by a younger age.

4) they're fun to watch vs other teams save for the Commanders

Most importantly: I want the Bills to win to hear the narratives of the media after they win. Is it going to be like the Ravens? That they lost only because of a dropped 2PAT? Are the turnovers, the 90+ seconds the Bills would have the ball, and the possibility of OT just going to be ignored?

I know it’s a little late, and Babich doesn’t really have time to read my post and correct his game plan… so I guess I just have to hope he’s thinking similarly.

As I see it, they had a great plan last week.  They schemed and focused on stopping Henry, while containing Lamar so he couldn’t just take off and beat them with his legs.  Add in a couple early scores and they forced Lamar to win the game passing. (Which he did a good job of and got close)

This week, I see Kelce as the key player that drives their offense.  So I really hope they have a plan to focus on Kelce and not let him sit all alone in a zone coverage with no one around him.   Then they have to contain Mahomes so he can’t run for first downs.  Essentially, don’t give up the easy first down tosses to Kelce or to Pat scrambling untouched.

They still have to contend with the running backs, Worthy, etc.  But every time Mahomes gets in trouble he looks #1 for Kelce and an easy catch.  Or #2 to scramble for the first.  Contain those two players and I think they contain their offense.    Thats easier said than done!  But that’s why they make millions and I don’t.

Go Bills!

The coverage about him last week was him not being covered. Him unsticking from coverage to find the open space. Bishop needs to rely on his speed to make up for what his experience won't offer him.

How did VanDemark play vs the Chiefs?  Did they “exploit” him?

He played exceptionally well. He received praise from his teammates and many int he media. He did not give up any pressures or have any faults, iirc.

Main thing from the last time we played them:

We converted, either due to yardage or defensive penalty, 5 of 10 3rd and 6+.  50% is unheard of and way above our season avg, most of these being in the 3rd and 8 or 9 range.

Point is we need to do a better job getting into more manageable 3rd down situations this game.  We played behind the sticks against Bmore and managed too, especially that 1st drive.

But I'm hoping to see us get better on early downs this game.  Hopefully can get the run game and quick passing executed early and often.

I hope we mix it up on first downs, that second half against the ravens had me nervous. Maybe some play action

they won so i trust the coaching staff to make a game plan and not overreact....

first down passing goes up along with TO ratio.

I just re-watched basically the entire KC / Buffalo game from earlier this year.

We really struggled to run the ball a lot of the game.  We had some really nice gains against the blitz, that has got to continue.  Samuel was wide open a lot.  I hope Allen keeps his eyes scanning the field and doesn't lock onto a receiver too much like he sometimes does.

We did ok against their run for the most part.  Had some big stops.  Got some breaks on penalties and turnovers.  Played a lot of man to man, which kinda makes sense given they really only have one speed guy, and he is a rookie.  You just have to shut down Kelce as much as possible, and that ain't happening with a zone.  Sure wish Wanya was still playing OT for them.

I’m thinking of betting a grand on the Chiefs money line.

Fellow degenerates will understand the reasoning.

For those that don’t: I’d HAPPILY pay a thousand dollars for the bills to make a SB. So if I lose, so what. But if the chiefs win, at least I get like $950.

That’s my mental space right now. It’s a dark and scary place.

Nah if I was a bettor, I would do the same thing. I have all my coping mechanisms lined up.

Can't believe you waited until late Saturday to post this now they won't read your post and they won't be aware of Kelce's abilities
