Everyone is basing the Bills winning on what KC has not done offensively this year. But I still wouldn't be surprised if they go up and down the field on the D. Score maybe 38 points. Whenever they've had to put the foot on the gas peddle, they have.

I get that and this is something that has been debated until we are all blue in the face.  I still say he made the correct call to attempt the pass to Shakiir who was wide open for a walk in TD until Chris Jones dog walks his man into Allen.  Let's say that Allen ends up throwing the shorter/safer pass to Diggs that would have moved the chains but he drops it.  We would have crucified Allen for not taking the kill shot.  He was in a no win situation there and if we are going to neuter him when the opportunity arises for what is normally a fairly routine TD pass for him, what's the point of having him as our QB in the first place?

Let Josh be Josh.  He has earned the right to be aggressive when he feels the opportunity is there and I hope he has that same mindset on Sunday.

Go Bills!!!!

Yeah, my comment has more to do with the fact that situationally, trying to score and leave as little time as possible on the clock for the Chiefs should've been the primary goal there. In a hypothetical world where Allen completes that pass to Shakir for a TD, the Chiefs would've had a ton of time to march down field and kick the game winner.

The idea of prioritizing the "move the chains" option over the TD has everything to do with the clock and the game situation.

Alas, like you said, we've all already talked about it ad nauseum and there's no point further rehashing it.

Play smart, mistake free football, GOOD SITUATIONAL FOOTBALL with an eye toward who your opponent is, and don't force anything silly unless you absolutely must.

Not I, I am basing it on they have trouble defending against RBs/TEs in the passing game and have been getting gashed a bit in the run lately. There’s a decent chance they don’t even get enough drives to realistically score 38.  It’s a great defense for what the bills offense used to be but does not match up nearly as well with what their offense is now. A team relying heavily on great receiver play outside from 1-2 guys that doesn’t really excel at anything else would probably be doomed against the chiefs defense, but that’s not Buffalo now. A team with an offensive line not very good at both pass blocking and run blocking would be in trouble, but that’s not Buffalo either

im sure the chiefs will score some points/rack up some yards, I just think with the oline disparity between the two teams the odds the bills defense gets the extra stop needed to win are higher than the odds the chiefs do

it kind of makes me chuckle a bit because the people saying’Josh needs to throw it all over the place, cooper needs to have a huge game!’ are kinda playing right into kcs strength imo

Not this year.

To be fair, I watched Rapp get cooked deep for six on the very first drive against the Broncos.

I don't think deep coverage is the strength of ANY of our safeties, Rapp included.

Fully agree, I have wondered why teams don't seem to attack that area of our defense more often than they do....

I assume it's partly due to our CB's playing well, and the success of the Dline (excluding Rams game)

Let's make one thing clear.  There are no excuses this Sunday. The team is largely healthy. If anyone is thinking of using the excuse that Taylor Rapp was out and that's why we lost, save it, because if he is that important we ain't built to win it all.

Benford DNP today is not good

The Chiefs played a lot of games vs competition that was lesser than the Bills.

They just weren’t trying.

He was excused for personal reasons and McDermott said he would be returning to the team by this afternoon or tomorrow. It was not related to the concussion.

He is almost certainly in stage 4 and, barring any setbacks, is more likely than not to clear and play on Sunday.

Milano and Taron with NO injury designation! Benford more likely than not to play!

Excited Sister Act GIF

They also opened Baylon Spector practice window.

I freaking love Dawkins man. This dude is amazing.

This is going to be very similar to the Ravens game. Our O-line is dominating. KC’s rush D has been porous lately. Their secondary is their strength with Watson/McDuffie and solid safeties. We are going run heavily, throw to RBs, Hopefully use our TEs because KC can’t cover TEs, and target Shakir a lot. Only if KC throws everyone in the box and plays 1 high will we start tossing it outside.

Part of the issue with these injuries is our secondary was already arguably underperforming. Here were Joe B's grades from the Ravens game.

FWIW Cole Bishop graded out as a B but his inexperience adds some questions as well. Somehow we need to get home on some blitzes.

I'm thinking the Chiefs break 30 for the first time this year.

Well, obviously it's a possibility.....however imo I have a hard time seeing it happen myself.

For one thing I believe McD will have the defense prepared with a passion more than ever.....

Also I have a feeling they know it's good chance of losing this game if KC puts up 30
