At this point before the AFC Championship Game, most media people, especially ESPN's First Things First, and perhaps Cam Newton, are crapping on Buffalo Bills and Josh Allen. That's what we're noticing. There are some praise here and there. Not a lot though, but we're the Under Dog so the disrespect is expected. Here are the run down on ESPN's First Things First:

- Praising Patrick Mahomes while beating down Josh Allen

- Discusses Mahomes' legacy if he 3-Peat claiming that he's the 2nd best QB of all time. Josh Allen cannot be the best QB without hardware to back up his case

- This came off as a diss to Mahomes: How can he be the best QB of All Time when he didn't make Pro Bowl, and All Pro, right now in his prime? Then all of that is swept under the rug with the grand ol' "IT'S ALL ABOUT WINNING. Mahomes has the hardware."

- Can Buffalo Bills and Josh Allen become this juggernaut team to beat Lamar Jackson AND Patrick Mahomes in their primes?

- Washington Commander QB Jayden Daniels is brought up out of nowhere. If he leads Washington to a SB victory then he's the best.

- RB James Cook is not mentioned. Not even once. RB Isiah Pacheco was actually mentioned once.

- If Josh Allen wins League MVP, why is his stats this year so low? They didn't account for the explosion of James Cook and no true number one WR. Again, they comin' at us with the disrespect.

How is this different from Dion Dawkins' "Former Champs" remark? Dion Dawkins remark was just ONE remark. They been talking trash (backhanded compliments) and all FOR YEARS ad nauseam ever since 13 Seconds.

Things will be different this Sunday night.

Buffalo is the average girl that you keep as a a friend because you want the hot one.

Regardless of what happens, it will always be that way because we aren't NYC, LA, Dallas, etc.  Until we have a pedigree of success in the post season we will just be everyone's 2nd choice.

Then there is the other stuff that you can go and look at twitter for regarding Lamar vs. Allen.  This isn't the place for that but it's all out there.

Kansas City isn't really a hot spot for tourists lol.

We'll see this Sunday regarding success. Josh Allen is in his prime, too. They have another 2.5 days to get their best shots in. That's all they got?

For some reason, I'm extremely confident with this version of Josh Allen and James Cook. Cook really took a giant step this year. I'm shocked that he rushed for 67 yards vs. Baltimore Ravens. I thought he would be lucky to get 35 yards with the way the media was hyping up Ravens. Baltimore was the number one rush defense, weren't they?

Probably because Dion is a player. That probably carries more weight to the upcoming opponent than media talking heads.

First Things First? With Nick Wright? They’re pro KC through and through.

ESPN’s Get Up all picked Bills except for Greeny. Chris Simms PFT was also high on Bills. Overall I’ve seen more positive coverage of Bills. KC fatigue is real.

These nerwork "analysts" are just a clown show.

Don't forget, they all thought Allen didn't have the accuracy to play in the NFL...then he had too many turnovers to be a successful QB...then the Bills would be third in the division behind the Jest and Dolphins. How can anyone believe anything they say?

And besides, to heap praise on the Bills and Allen would be to admit they were WRONG..and their egos just keep getting in the way.

No, it's not.  Neither is GB but if they are winning, everyone loves them for some reason being a small market team.  Likely because they have been there and done it before.

Sadly this is probably the most confident that I have been that Allen can get it done this post season (referring to the Broncos and the Ravens as the opponents), which makes me feel terrified at the same time.  I'm not one of those people that think that it can't happen or conspiracy theory regarding the refs but playing them in their house just makes it feel "disgusting to me" is the best I can describe it.

I have no idea why but I was way more nervous before the Baltimore game than I am versus the Chiefs. Maybe its because we got over the divisional hurdle that has been in the way or maybe because I felt the Ravens were the toughest for us in the AFC but I shouldn't be this calm before we go against a team that has ended our season 3 times in the last 4 years.

Me too.   But I know why.  I feared the Ravens more both because I think the Raven were the best team in the AFC and because I thought the Ravens were the team we matched up worst against.

I'm still nervous.  KC still has the powerhouse trio of Reid/Spags/Mahomes.  They were the winningest team in the AFC and they have homefield advantage.  Losing is still a distinct possibility.  But the Ravens scared me more.

Is anyone else starting to get a little twitchy about our players talking about "it's a blessing just to be in this position" and yadda yadda?

I don't want them to give the Chiffs bulletin board stuff but I'd like to hear a little edge.

I do not consider this question, ever. Diggs is just WRONG about how championship teams are assembled and optimized, because he only allows for ONE vision of offensive roster-building and game-planning. NO ONE NEEDS a noisy, awesome, gritty, competitive ELITE-type WR who disappears in the playoffs. He DID suffer from having substandard WR talent around him as the years progressed, and there was the 13 seconds debacle. But otherwise, Diggs himself did not live up to his own standards when it mattered most.

its weird i’m having the same feeling. KC just feels beatable this year and the Bills are playing better football than last year.

Yes, the Ravens were a super tough matchup, except that they didn't do to Buffalo almost ANYTHING they did to Pittsburgh. There was (effectively) ZERO zone-read, multiple-option ball handling in the backfield. Lamar's hands were COLD is the only justification. He did have two turnovers that were out of character. And must have been worried about more. Because we got the most vanilla version of the Ravens offense I've seen all season.

The Ravens WERE pretty great, but just didn't translate that greatness onto the COLD field of the divisional round. I guess. Seriously, they leveraged almost none of the built-in advantages of having Henry AND Jackson. It was bizarre.

I think the Ravens were the best team in the NFL this season when they were really rolling. An offense just as good as the Lions, but with an elite defense to go with it (after they figured their issues out). I think the Bills offense was similarly good to the Ravens offense, but our defense isn't close.

Can we lose to KC? Yea, all playoff games can be won by anybody, especially when you are playing on the road.

Is KC a scarier team than the Ravens? No way, not in my opinion.

I can't imagine a world where Diggs actively accepts weekly target shares that range from nearly zero to double digits, but mostly result in negligible active involvement.

Maybe repeatedly feeding Diggs on simple routes would help Allen get going against top defenses, such as the last two weeks, but Diggs' presence overall was more toxic than any potential benefit I can superimpose over this current HIGHLY synchronized offensive attack.

Please, for all that is holy, get to Mahomes and get him on the ground...that's all I'm asking. A robust attack from the D line. That's not too much to ask is it?

Seems like we have NO answers for why the Ravens went away from their bread and butter offensive attack. Except ball handling by a QB who hates the cold.

The Bills actually DARED Lamar to stand back in the pocket and pick them apart. Some of those snaps, time-to-throw, were egregiously extended. The Bills were intentionally willing to let a pocket Lamar do his thing. Anything to prevent him from breaking out of containment. Outrageous snap-to-throw times.

Smart to force Lamar into drop-back situations instead of scrambling situations, overall. Might have negatively influenced the quality of some of his most obvious throws, including the fading/nose-diving flat pass to Andrews that gets fumbled and dropped as je backpedals to adjust.

I agree that we just let him set up camp back there and instructed the lineman to stay in their lanes and not lose contain. We did blitz way more than we usually do this year (I think I read > 40%), but we aren't a great blitzing team.

I kind of wonder how things would have been different if Harbaugh just decided to run the ball 40+ times with their RBs and gave Lamar 15 total pass attempts. I kind of think the Ravens might have won that game, so I'm glad he didn't.
