aside from maybe philly and their oline and running back, the biggest advantage any team left playing now has over their opponents is the bills with the oline and run game.  they didn't even call designed runs for allen that much on sunday.  it took the ravens coming out in the second half to not trucked on a drive (if the phantom holding call never hits we score another tub there and win the game in the first half).  and they are tops vs the run.  denver got steam rolled.

kc is a nasty team w some nasty d players, but the physical and mental advantage right now is bills oline.  if we use the three back to their strengths and also run allen, or at least roll him out to threaten a scramble, they will give up gains.  we've got to do what we did vs the ravens and make them stop it before we stop going to the well (i say this thinking brady was too conservative to start the 3rd quarter).  kc has a fast aggressive d, but they are honestly like ours in that they play nickel and are undersized up front.  they can be run on.

if they figure that out, it will come to brady being in his bag and allen hitting some deep passes, but we are on a bit of a streak of success there tbh.

if cook goes over 100 and we have 150+ as a team we win this game controlling it.

It was Epenesa, Jefferson and Solomon in a dime. Epenesa and Solomon didn’t really rush the QB. I think they were instructed to contain him. Jefferson rushed and just looked silly.

In hindsight it obviously would lead to him having 10 seconds to stand there.

Yep, just came here to say the same thing. How they ended up with Epenesa, Jefferson, and Solomon on the field at the same time is beyond me. They also had Dorian Williams as a spy of sorts, not rushing. But it was a three man rush, and none of the three were really trying to get after him, except eventually for Jefferson, who like you said just basically took himself out of the play.

Lamar was at his best in that game when we didn't pressure him. Strange to me that they used a package and a strategy at that point in the game that was basically designed to let him make camp in the pocket and spend the evening finding his target.

I knew the concussion protocol was bs.

and I’m not complaining.

This may be a once in a lifetime opportunity and should be approached as such. All hands on deck.

I do worry that the Bills aren’t going to come out fired up this week. The Ravens were the big bad team that we beat and now it’s coasting all the way to the SB from here.

This comment by Spencer and Cooper talking about tasting the SB. I really hope McD has them focused that we have a HUGE dragon to slay in the Chiefs who have ended our season 3 out of the last 4 years.

Don’t worry. It’s the Super Bowl on the line. No more motivation needed.

Really? You think the Bills won't be fired up to face the team that has knocked them out of the playoffs 3 of the last 4 years??

I just want to see KC make the one big mistake towards the end, in a big playoff game....instead of the opponent. It's been almost 3 seasons in a row.  They are so due.  I don't know if it's a missed or blocked FG?, or some random turnover? or not converting a critical 4th down...but there has to be a time when Kansas City fails in the biggest moment.

This is an awesome stat line.   The Ravens and Broncos were two of the top three defenses against the run and against the Bills they gave up more rushing yards than at any time of the year.   HOOOOBOY!    This offensive line is playing their asses off and they are playing their best football both against the pass and run going into this championship game.    I have no doubt that the Bills will try to run it against the Chiefs and that the Chiefs will game plan to stop the run.

I posted yesterday that the Chiefs have given up 784 yards on 147 carries or 5.33 YPC in their last 6 games of the season and in divisional round (excluding the Season Finale where they played backups vs DEN).  They can be run on as HOU showed last week.

Stroud also holds the ball forever.  Without Diggs and Tank Dell in the lineup he hasn't had anyone open, in his defense.

Not to mention that for whatever reason the Texans decided to block Karlaftis with their TE Schultz who gave up two of those sacks in the 4th quarter.

God we don't need the illness epidemic, of course its the Chefs, so whatever breaks they need always come.

I remember the week of the first Patriots game, McDermott sounded so sick...and Josh didn't sound good to me either.  You gotta be careful with illness.  Glad they are still 3.5 days out.

If we have to play the game with half the team having the flu, I hope we sneeze all of the Chiefs of Sunday and take them down with us.

McD and Josh looked totally spent after Ravens game - I figured it was just the grind but who knows maybe Josh was coming down with something too.  On the other hand Dion looked GREAT on the field post game.  Figure the team doctor is all over it.  Wash your hands boys!

I think that they thought that if you put Lamar into pure passing situations with 3 lineman rushing with a spy that he wouldn't be able to make the plays from the pocket to lead them to a score.  What they didn't account for was that Lamar didn't make those plays from the traditional pocket, he moved around and bought himself space and time to hit receivers not on their original read and route but on off schedule secondary routes.

If I'm not mistaken, there were 4 backups in at the dline at once. I hope never to see that either. It's not the preseason.

Bills rushed 3 DL and had Williams spy Lamar.  Solomon, Jefferson and Epenesa were the rushers.  There were 7 Bills in coverage scheme.
