well, you missed the word RUSH before defense in my post which was literally the entire point of the post so this is awkward haha im sorry you felt insulted but it’s entirely due to reading comprehension.

Baltimore and Denver allowed 3.6 ypc and 4 ypc (1st and 2nd best). in the regular season and were 1st and 3rd in rushing yards allowed per game.  If we’re talking about total defense I’d agree that KC is right there with those two teams or better because Baltimore and denver were giving up some big passing plays when they had issues.  I was specifically talking about rushing though because that’s what the bills like to do

Lol. You're right, I completely missed the word "rush." Probably because I was in a rush. 😄

A reporter noted that Milano missed every play after the 2 minute warning, asked if it was injury related or scheme. McD honestly looked like he had no idea that one of is best defensive players missed the last bit of the game. He said he had not heard from his training staff because they get in later in the day. It was awkward and weird response.

Was reported on twitter that he banged knees with Lamar on his last play in the game, and was seen standing on the sidelines the rest of the time (no medical tent, no trainers giving him attention).

I’m reading between the lines here and could be entirely wrong, but if it was scheme related I don’t think mcd would want to openly admit that.  I’m leaning not injury related but it’s a guess obviously.

could be that Milano was absolutely gassed from chasing Lamar down all night

I feel if the offense can put up 30+ points they have very high percentage of winning the game. After strong first half this past weekend, the offense went into a shell and game was closer than it should have been.

Defense just needs to make enough play to keep team in game and have hard time envisioning this iteration of the Chiefs scoring more than 30 points in this game. So for me this game begins and ends with the offense.

it certainly could be, I also have no idea. He legit seemed caught off guard by the question enough to make me think "does he really not know Milano was not in the game at the end?"

Could have been a conscious decision, just like it was a conscious decision to have Solomon, Jefferson and Epenesa in as your pass rushers in the most critical minute of the game...a decision that thankfully did not cost us a trip the AFC championship.

It’s so funny because I said the EXACT same thing as you about Denver’s defense overall leading up to the bills game haha so I definitely wasn’t talking about total defense

I gotta say I feel like the chiefs fans on here are some of the best opposing fan posters we have, I felt kind of bad I insulted one by accident lol

Yea I think we swapped them in because they were fresh and fresh did not outrank talent in that moment haha watchin Baltimore pancake the entire dline was wild.  A couple of those plays there wasn’t even a passrusher standing 😂

somehow it sort of worked out accidentally because I don’t think we were stopping them in 4 down territory and they scored so fast there was plenty of time left for our offense

This is as big as they get.  I think Buffalo understands the task but also are not afraid of it.  Buffalo is 3-1 in the last 4 match ups.  The 1 loss at home last season divisional rd.  Without a majority of the starting defense.  That KC offense was better.  The Bills defense is better.  Im very happy with how Buffalo matches up vs KC.  KC will do some of the things Baltimore did. I think Allen and the passing game will be ready to go.  More early down PA.  Call me crazy I think Buffalo slays the Chiefs dragon.  They win 34-16.  In an effort to keep up KC passing game presses and he commits uncharacteristic turnovers.

I joked about it earlier in this thread, but the Bills need to find the "chip on their shoulder" this week.

You and I and everyone else can find the notion of needing extra motivation in such a big game silly. But we saw, and had it confirmed by multiple players, how impactful the media all picking the Ravens, the Jerry Coleman comments, etc was for the Bills players. Allen mentioned it right after the game. Just about every pro athlete is motivated by perceived disrespect, and our team seems ESPECIALLY motivated by it. They THRIVE as underdogs. You and I can think that's silly, but that's the reality.

Meanwhile, you have Andy Reid saying to the press yesterday "I presume the Bills will be favored, but that's okay, we'll do what we do". He's already planting the seeds in his players' minds that THEY'RE the underdogs. Nevermind that they were a one loss one-seed. I GUARANTEE that they'll be painting themselves as the underdogs all week in their locker room.

So I hope the media doubts the Bills loudly and repeatedly all week, harps on how Josh CAN'T beat Mahomes in the playoffs, etc.

The Bills need to find their chip for this week.

Just watched the presser to see his response and I agree it was weird. He could have just said it was scheme related and leave it at that. Saying he’s “waiting for updates” is odd. He’s hiding something.

Did and would it?  They have to go for 2.  Which they failed on.  They make it Allen has 1:30 2 timeouts from the 30.  I like those odds.  I felt like Baltimore scored too early.

I interpreted it as him intentionally being wishy-washy.

But I'm not 100% on that, given others interpretations that do also seem plausible.

But my first instinct was that this was something to worry a little about.

Right now the thing that worries me the most is what possibly shows up on the injury report.  There is so much speculation and unknown status about so many players right now.  My biggest fear is having to play them again with a depleted roster - with them as healthy and rested for a playoff game as is possible in the NFL.  You can say next man up, but it actually matters if multiple of your best players are out or not 100%

I have no doubt that Josh would have led a scoring drive. I was simply commenting on the could have been costly decision at having ***** pass rushers out there when we needed our best. Tired or not, in a game tying or game ending drive, I want our best players out there. I find it hard to believe Von could have been tired though, having only played like 25% of the snaps.

Chiefs dont run the ball well, and their efficiency comes from Kelce and frankly Worthy.  Brown has been quiet since coming back, and Hopkins has been quiet (like Cooper).  Bills need to force punts, and Allen and Cook need to carry the ball early and often.  Get up and then force the Chiefs to have Mahomes play the absolute best ball of his life to carry his team into it.

I'm cautiously looking forward to this game.

I agree with this but remember we are healthier on offense now than the first matchup and were able to move the ball and score points. We were without:

Kincaid

Coleman

cooper was playing with a wrist cast

I agree. Kelce is Mahomes "go to guy". Shut him down like they did in the 1st meeting. Watch the screen game with their RBs, defensively. Offensively, follow the Ravens game blueprint. Be physical. Let the run game open up the pass. Kincaid and Cooper will have big game against Chiefs. Chiefs will try to limit Shakir

I have to ask-is there are part of you that actually thinks the players don’t know what they are playing for this week?

Heading to KC on Saturday.

Who has the best barbecue?

Pick two combo at Jack Stack with lamb ribs and burnt ends, beans and cheesy corn. You can thank me later. Slaps is my favorite but it is a B word to get in and out of.
