The spread is 1.5 points. The Chiefs went to 1 conference championship before reaching the super bowl 4 out of the next 5 years. WTF do the Raiders have to do with anything? 1 Quote

notpolian Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago I'm very pleasantly surprised Rapp is day to day. That is cause for hope. If Benford was on the way to or had an undiagnosed concussion earlier in the game, that would explain some things we all saw that were sorta weird. I'm hopeful he can clear by Sunday. Johnson should be ok, though any hard tackle or jump ball situation can be a cause for concern. The worst thing for sublux type injuries is loading your shoulder while reaching above your head. I've subluxed playing volleyball among other things. It sucks. Milano is what worries me the most even though we know zip about it to my knowledge. He is showing multiple flashes per game of his old difference maker self. His injury history is extensive however. Fingers crossed. I think we have a real chance against KC but we need as many starters as possible on the field. I'm glad the weather looks ok too, less likely for muscles to tighten up as you get tired. Quote

That's what bugs me. Stuff like the phantom face-mask in the other game, at least in real time looks can deceive. There's just nothing here that even has the appearance of the thing he's flagging, in full clear view, 5 yards away. They don't actually have to see penalties anymore. This nonsense with indicators has made NFL officiating even worse than it was and is pushing the game toward the territory of an unwatchable joke. 1 1 Quote

Looking at the three defensive injuries for players that didn't finish the game or are in the protocol (Rapp, Benford, and Milano) the player the Bills are least capable of replacing is Benford. Cole Bishop has about 5-6 starts under his belt in the regular season and he looked solid in relief of Rapp in the Ravens game. I would rather Rapp play but I think Bishop can be more than serviceable. Milano started to look like a difference maker again but Dorian Williams started most of the year and if he's got to plug in I think he can do so well. But if Benford is out the Bills are plugging in some combo of Cam Lewis, Elam, and Ingram. I think Cam Lewis is a decent backup nickel and Ingram is a decent dime back. But if this team has to put those role players or Elam out there on the boundary against vets like Hollywood Brown and Hopkins I would be very concerned and it could be a liability. 1 Quote

I have noticed offensive holds are mostly called based on clues as to how the defender’s body moves. For example, If a Defender getting cleanly pancaked, but falls to the side, then it is a hold. Apparently if the ref sees the defender fall forward to the ground fast, the clue is a hold. I get that the game might be too fast to see the holds in real time. But then I think the answer to that is: “then don’t call them.” I’d rather they miss holds than guess wrongly and call phantom ones. 1 3 Quote

This assumes a emotional connection to the outcome. I'm entirely indifferent. And as an adult, you should realize by now that there's no effing way in hell a human could predict a point spread unless there's foreknowledge of the outcome. There's no way to predict fumbles and 4th down conversions and funky bounces and injury. So one of two things is happening. The league sees the spread and manipulated the game in that direction. Or the legal gambling world is notified somewhere, somehow by someone, what the outcome will be. ((PS your pessimism is meaningless)) I'm not the one being pessimistic. I'm quite happy with my observations. 8 minutes ago, Turbo44 said: The one thing I hate is valueless adding assclowns. Hi Harold Hope has nothing to do with truth or reality. Everyone, even the announcers and a bunch of neutral fans were getting on Chiefs fans on Twitter about it and it's getting noticed. I hope the NFL realizes this and calls a fair game Sunday. I was just going to post something to this affect. I can't recall the last time, if ever, I saw so many players verbally complain about the officiating during locker room interviews. Everyone had something to say. Can't help but think they'll be under a microscope for this one. Hopefully they keep an eye on Jawaan Taylor and his false starts along with all the holding their O line and DBs get away with. Quote

Very much seems like the two teams are equally matched. Yet they have trophies and we don't. I really, really, really, really, really, really, really hope we change that this year. (p.s. The number 7 was considered lucky in the Eastern Zhou culture of ancient China). 1 Quote
