Well, obviously it's a possibility.....however imo I have a hard time seeing it happen myself. For one thing I believe McD will have the defense prepared with a passion more than ever..... Also I have a feeling they know it's good chance of losing this game if KC puts up 30 Quote

I can’t stand him or (especially) his family, but this is beyond football. I hope we win an he can spend as much time with his family as possible, and I’ll leave it at that. But I still wouldn't be surprised if they go up and down the field on the D. Score maybe 38 points. Whenever they've had to put the foot on the gas peddle, they have. The Chiefs have played 18 games this season. That's a pretty good sample size. They scored exactly 30 points twice. Never went over. Once required them going to overtime, and the other was against the Panthers (who at that time were legitimately being argued as the worst team in the entire NFL). So we aren't talking about a team that lacked consistency on offense. We are talking about a team that was mediocre or struggled all season long in putting the ball into the endzone. For comparison, the Bills scored 30 or more points in 13 of their 19 games. That includes their regular season matchup against the Chiefs and the Wild Card Game against a Broncos defense which most considered to be the best in the AFC playoffs. If the Bills had needed 30 to beat the Ravens, I'm pretty confident they could have gotten it... either with that 4th down goal line conversion, or with a 2-minute drive at the end of regulation. Anything can happen on Sunday. I'm of course nervous and anxious. But we also have every reason to be confident. To put it simply... this version of the Bills is better than this version of the Chiefs. To beat us, their offense will likely need their best game of the entire season. While at the same time, their defense will need to hold us to one of our worst games of the entire season. 5 3 1 Quote

The Bills were 2nd in the NFL in Red Zone efficient at 68%. The Chiefs offense was 24th at 52%. 1 Quote

bills6969 Posted January 24 Posted January 24 Long sustained offensive drives is the key. Keep Mahomes on the bench as much as possible. 1 Quote

Two things concerning the sentence in bold.... To the first part of said sentence, I for one would be a little surprised myself....So curious why/what it is considering everything we've seen from KC this particular season would you not at least find it unexpected if surprised might be too strong of a word for you? Second part: What games are you referring to that they've exactly "put the foot on the gas peddle"? Thought many of their games were pretty close along with a few due to "inconsistencies" from the refs. Quote

Every team has guys running open at points but it all depends at where He did not have guys running wide open down the field in two or three seconds After some broken plays or extended plays he had guys running open 4 5 seconds later.. late developing plays But that's an eternity in the NFL which is why he didn't find them easily.. we have guys running open down field 5 seconds later too.. NFL corners can't cover for 5 or 6 seconds We do not have busted coverage typically two seconds into a play and plays are quick in the NFL.. the Chiefs offense has been pretty anemic I honestly think it's crazy you think they're going to put up 35 Mahomes is great but they're not magically shifting a gear Edited January 24 by Buffalo716 1 3 Quote

KC has been injured on offense all year and now they're healthy. Pacheco only played in 8 games including playoffs. Brown only played in 3. Hopkins 11. Kelce is a different animal in the playoffs. Quote What games are you referring to that they've exactly "put the foot on the gas peddle"? Thought many of their games were pretty close along with a few due to "inconsistencies" from the refs. This QB/coach deserves some benefit of the doubt given what they've achieved to this point even if their offense has only been good enough this year. Discounting the Chiefs after everything they've done to our defense over the years seems way overly confident. 1 Quote
