Granted it’s hard to get hype as a punter lol, but has araiza seemed kinda meh?

I can't say I watched him much but from what I have seen... He has a booming leg but he also sometimes out kicks his coverage and that can bite his team.

Van Demark is athletic but doesn't offer any push/power in the run game. KC stopped our rushing attack pretty well in that game, having Brown back should help in that regard.

I remember in that game, I saw numerous times Chiefs secondary players fly in making tackles, filling holes (kind of like the Bills asking their secondary players do). When you look at the snap count, Shakir (52), Samuel (44), Hollins (41), Cooper (37) were top WRs on the field. That's not a group good at blocking. The reason the Bills leaned heavy to Coleman and Hollins in the past, in large part, is due to their ability to block the secondary defenders. TE Kincaid didn't play who's not a great blocker but still better than his replacement.

If you look in my post it has a couple of quotes, including major who said he was 18 the last time the Bills made it.

i'm amazed at how this works. i'm amazed at a lot of things. but i will start with this:

why don't teams hire former players or specialty type players as "coaches" to do the left footed punts? now, i'm sure these guys were probably given some Bills gear and a few bucks but it was probably held as a "try-out." organizations need to hire guys as coaches to practice with the team as an adjunct kind of player - in a pinch these guys are thrown on the PS and used in a game. You could get specialty guys groomed up this way quite effectively

also...

why do organizations not hire someone like Geno Auroamomamomano the former Bengals coach just to be a consultant for games that they'd be influential in? Like the Ravens vs. Bills. a fired coordinator for a coaching advisor rental would be nice.

also, why odn't teams take one of these practice squad OLs or DL's and groom them to be a big body full back? like the big dude from Baltmore? I'm obsessed with this idea and would love Georgia's center to be the fullback for this kind of condition.

Not so much that I didn't think other teams or QBs weren't on the same planet. Of course I would still think we are the best team in the league. Maybe I am just different but I'd also be just as bored watching our team all these SBs in a short time span or whatever as I am of the Chiefs/Patriots. I would still want my team to win but I'd be bored of it.

There is something to not being entitled or spoiled. I been a video gamer all my life. When I am not challenged, the game is boring. I much rather fail at something 100 times and then just that one time beat it than I would just beat it the first time every time.

I presume then you are a fan of Elden Ring. I hate that ***** game.

I think this is the most nervous I have ever been on a Thursday morning.  This feels different from the past KC-Buf playoff games because this time it feels like we HAVE to win. Dare I say… destiny? I mean there is no way the SAME TEAM can send us packing 4 of the past 5 seasons, right? Ugh!! I have never wanted something so badly for this team.

Beating KC, to me, would be like winning a “mini Super Bowl”.  Don’t get me wrong, I would be very upset if we beat KC only to lose in the SB, but to EXPERIENCE the joy of the Bills finally being able to overcome their greatest foe, and to be the team responsible for preventing the “3 peat” and then watch our Buffalo Bills featured throughout the weeks leading up to the Super Bowl… how could this season not go down as the most enjoyable in Allen’s career… win or lose (in the SB)?

We just HAVE to get there!!!!!! LETS GO!!!

Solomon, Jefferson, Epenesa out there as the primary rushers on the Ravens last 3-plays can’t happen against the Chiefs.

That was not smart and the rush 3, drop 8, cost them with chunk plays against. Marino showed the difference when the Bills were aggressive compared to when they went into their prevent shell.

Von needs to be out there, Rousseau has been 80+%, but also Oliver.

I think they were trying to get their main 3 a couple snaps off before a potential goal line stand.  Agree it back fired, but all the primary DL were on the field for the 2pt conversion (not that it mattered).

Odd mirror did fail against lamar as he did a good job of taking his time and avoiding rushers.  It should be noted that Mahomes is who they developed the odd mirror rush for and it has worked effectively against him (2+ picks).  I do expect more Von in this game.  I believe Marino wasnt saying prevent shell but that when we blitzed versus when we didnt (not all of these should be considered prevent).

I was 7. That Super Bowl was the first Super Bowl I ever remember watching in full. I have vague memories from the year before. But I'm 38 now. A 31 year gap is big enough. Let's do this

I always said I wanted my coach to be Belichek-esque in the sense of leaving no stone unturned for strategy and the example I always used was him wanting a left footed punter at one point for the slightest of (perceived) advantage.

So I approve of this, said Captain Obvious.

I really like the attention to detail these last couple weeks... the signing of the ex-Ravens backup QB for a few practices and now left footed punters.

Can someone please explain to me why the hell I am not nervous about this game?!

it's a multi level issue so my response:

we beat this team this year and we have lost to this team in the playoffs 3 times. it won't destroy us to lose again but we are optimistic that we will not go 0-4 against them. odds just don't work that way, but football can. after being told all off season and all season we are a flawed team restructuring our organization we came in with tempered expectations and less pressure. we relaxed and we have heard it all. anything positive we hear is something that just makes us feel good at this point.

one of the biggest reasons i want the Bills to win isn't even about being a Bills fan. I want to see more quality football games. you do not see quality football games when KC plays for various reasons.

I think a lot of people see the Ravens as a tougher matchup for us than KC, and if we can beat the Ravens, then we should be able to win this one, even at Arrowhead.  Simple as that...
