Yeah. A virus is going around. Hopefully doesn’t get bad.

The day before the '95 road playoff game against Pittsburgh, after we beat Miami at home the previous week, Bruce Smith came down with the flu and did not play.

...yeah, that didn't help.

I agree about that particular play...and at least one lineman seemed to give up chasing him.  However, in general, has anyone been talking about the Bills D being held?  Ed Oliver, in particular, looked like he was egregiously held all day.  He would split blockers and both would grab on to him.  Was I the only one seeing what looked like really bad holds on every play?  And Dawkins is the one called on a perfectly executed block?  I am not usually a "blame the ref" kind of guy, and wondering if I'm seeing things because it looked really bad and obvious to me.

why wouldn’t you coach the DLine to just fall to the ground when they feel they’re being held?   If Dion is going to get flagged for a perfect block just because he knocked the guy down… seems like I’d be fallin almost every time they held me at all.    Make it obvious.

Same with their RT… if he’s moving early.. jump into him and make them throw the flag and have that discussion.

I took a few bowling ball shots this year and I've been feeling great, somebody get the bowling ball to the field house stat!

In an amazing discovery of virulent activity, there are no reported viruses in and around the Kansas city metro area.  Luckiest team in history.

Man, Allen is great w/ the media.  He always says all the right things, but without it sounding insincere like some other guys do.  He never even provides a word that an opposing team could use for motivation.

One thing I have been thinking about. The Bills can’t just dust off their very effective defensive game plan from Game 1 and re-use it. The chiefs will be ready for it.

I think the Bills are really going to have to bring an entirely new defensive game plan this time around. I am just not sure what that is!

Honestly, if you've even been in the vicinity of the Pinto, you're immune to diseases that haven't even been named yet

You have to be able to beat Jawaan Taylor. 7-sacks allowed, 17 penalties.

Mike Caliendo is rated 114/145 Guards by PFF.

Humphrey and Smith are elite.

Which means someone is going to have to get around Joe Thuney.

I think it’s time for Von to actually get a large snap share. We need him. It can’t be a game like last week and the final 3-snaps Javon Solomon is out there getting sealed off inside and pushed past Lamar. He can’t be out there.

Rousseau will be out there at 80%, I believe in him.

More often than not that’s what playoff football has felt like to me,  DBs holding their a** off, olinemen holding their ** off, and refs just lettin all these guys fistfight eachother basically lol

All I know is 2021 AFCCG; this absolutely KILLLLLLEDDDDDDDDD us twofold:

1. Not only were Chiefs cool with holding the living hell out of our WR's.  Our WR's were small. J Brown, Cole & Diggs.  Couldnt get off their man

2. Our Secondary Group were playing like choir boys, trying not to get flagged.... when refs had clearly illustrated THEY DIDNT EVEN OWN THEM

This WR group is built much better for these types of holds.  I see no reason KC doesnt start the game aggressively challenging refs to see what they can get away with.  Interesting battle.

I hope our WR's and Secondary are practicing for this.  We want our guys coached up to hold and grab until flags start flying and we can re-assess. They should be practicing how to hold in a discreet manner.... hell. Hire an old retired ref to consult them the proper way to conceal, and what a playoff hold looks like.  Have refs there to simulate this in scrimmage.  Coach our WR's to play through it, no flopping. Seems like they punish guys who dont work through the hold as best as they can, by not throwing the flag.

For what to NOT do; reference the way Oliver handled that goalline play vs Baltimore looking for a flag.  Work through it; show the refs you earned it and did everything you could to overcome the penalty AND make the play

I knew the concussion protocol was bs.

and I’m not complaining.

This may be a once in a lifetime opportunity and should be approached as such. All hands on deck.

It's not BS dude.

This has been explained like a million times

Being in concussion protocol doesn't mean you necessarily had an " actual concussion"

There's also a lot of different reasons a player is placed in the protocol.

A perceived big hit

Symptoms

Precautionary

Very limited symptoms

A big hit but no symptoms

Etc etc

The protocol is simply a process there to protect a player from himself and as a safeguard. It's a checklist

This is why the Mitch Morse is documented times of having a " concussion" was ridiculous.

You could be in the concussion protocol 10x in your career but nothing ever happened.

There's also different opinions on how the methodology of the concussion protocol is applied to a massive hit like tua had for example where a player is unconscious or having a minor seizure and that contrasted with repeated minor hits to the head like in boxing or what an olineman might go through repeatedly.

It's not necessarily settled which is more degenerative or how fast a possible degenerative condition might be

Long story short, concussion protocol doesn't necessarily mean anything is wrong or that a player even had a concussion.

It's not BS lol

Sorry, have to disagree.

The sport is coached, reffed, and players grandfathered into the "throw some dirt on it" generation.

Its a multi-billion dollar industry.  Sure at times it works; but big players and big games are working with diff set of rules... WE'VE ALL SEEN IT! Plays where you're like thewy didnt even bring that dude into the tent?  We've seen it with Josh.  We've seen it with Tua.  Its all calculated, informed risk.  Big game and players are juiced to go.

Peyton talking about throwing baseline test off

Ever see what the blue tent test consists of?  It is not quick no matter how fine you are.  Yet earlier this season, Josh missed 1 play, and "happened" to come out the tent at the right time LOL  Maybe he wasnt concussed, sure!!!  But there is noooooo wayyyyyyy that test was fully administered.  This is also supported but what all of our eyeball tests have told us.

People also forget how banged up that WR group was.  Beasley had a broken leg.  Diggs had an oblique.  Davis & Brown had knee and ankle injuries, respectively.

Combine that w/ the refs allowing a lot of contact, and they really didn't have much of a chance.

Cam lewis was on Sirius. Talking well. Saying all the defense wants to do iss give the ball back to the offense. Just like Benford said.
