I have lived in the Kansas City area my entire life and have been a Chiefs fan since the early 70’s. Don’t judge us real fans by the shitshow in that message board. Most of them came on board about the time Mahomes got here and I suspect many will leave when this run is over. Anyone who thinks this game will be a blowout either way is delusional. Each team has flaws and it will come down to who exploits them the best. I suspect it will be close in the 27-24 range. If you guys win I hope you go on to win the Super Bowl as no fan base deserves it more.

I have a guys' weekend every year where eight of us meet up in a NFL/NHL city to watch football and hockey and have a good time exploring a new city.

I had the pleasure of meeting the real KC fanbase about 10 years ago (before the Mahomes era).   Out of 15-20 NFL cities that I have experienced, the KC tailgate was the most welcoming and enjoyable experience that I had.  I am happy to vouch for you that the real long-term fans in KC are great people.

The entitled bandwagon-jumping folks that call themselves fans today are giving your real fanbase a bad name.

do they load up confetti for the visitors? i honestly do not know

Pretty sure they do. They do a celebration for whoever wins the afc and I believe that's regardless of being home or away. Would be a million times better if it was in Buffalo obviously, but at this point I don't care. Just win baby

Brilliant design for a few reasons...

First, it occupies a blocker because he has to respect the fact that player is up on the LOS and could be rushing. This prevents double teams and gives their players a 1-1 matchup in at least 2 spots even when only rushing 3.

Second, it allows the Bills to send pressure from one side by overloading it and then have a defender ready to fire freely once the QB flushes to that side.

Third, the LB almost is "hiding" behind the big OLine so Mahomes may lose sight of him as he moves around the pocket and as he steps up, there that player is coming free through a hole to tackle him. Kinda like what happens on the Bernard sack where Mahomes is running thinking he has space and here comes Bernard full speed from a short distance away and he has no chance.

Would be shocked if the Bills don't deploy this a lot in this game.

Great use of Dorian Williams' speed and athletic ability, too.

Mahomes' scrambling ability is underrated. Lamar has amazing speed and juking ability, and Allen is big, fast, and elusive, but Mahomes gets a lot of yards on his scrambles, even if he looks like a four-year old running around in his backyard.

Been to KC a few years ago...cool city...

Called Fountain City because it has the most fountains of any city in the world. Union Station is a really cool spot to check out and there is a section of the city that is a replica of Seville, Spain that is super cool also.

Benford being limited is encouraging.

Milano with a hamstring is worrisome as that can feel great and then pop out of nowhere again and if it does it could put his SB hopes in jeopardy.

It is because guys like me waited for 50 years to see us get to a Super Bowl. I was 5 in 69 so I don’t remember that one. My parents weren’t rich and I finally got to go to my first game in 75… I was pumped and so excited…. The Steelers destroyed us like 45-0. Suffered through playoff defeats during Marty and was at the championship game we lost to Brady on an offside that would have sealed the game. You are right, back then the stadium experience was great. I don’t go anymore due to the new fans and their nasty attitude and behavior. It is sad but expected. This unfortunately is our culture in a lot of areas.

For Milano

Cortisone/Prednisone in hamstring is 4-5 days to get ramped up.

PRP takes 2-3 weeks

Hyaluronic acid for rap in his hip takes 3 to 4 weeks. More than likely he'll get it a shot. Be fine.

This is inspiring. Yes, it can be done. ***** the chiefs.

That game loss was 100% on the Chiefs. Mahomes got arrogant and failed to adjust. If we take the 3 instead of going for it before the half it probably never happens.

I appreciate that, but I don’t think it’s relevant to the question of the number of fountains, which is around 2,000 in total if one is to believe Marvin Pulvers who authored a book on the subject of fountains in Rome (don’t ask how I know that, lets just say I was obsessed with the subject 20 years ago). If even half of them are not functional, that still leaves them far, far ahead of any other city. But a 2,000 year head start is hard to overcome. 😄

I love what odd mirror (not mentioned here but thats the name of the front) enables from a coverage perspective too.  We have run cover 2 man on the back side of this rush.  Typically that defense suffers because theres noone accounting for the QB, and with Mahomes or Lamar youre gonna get roasted.  However, with a QB spy you feel a lot better about running cover 2 man.  That defense is so powerful because you can get into a trail technique and jump under routes knowing there are 2 deep defenders that got your back.  I expect to see a ton of it this weekend.
