In basketball, there’s something called a “box and one,” which is zone defense with one defender manned up on a player. When the Bills run zone against KC, I’d like to see an approach like this utilized. Put Cole Bishop on him in man and zone everywhere else. If Kelce runs himself into an area where a defender already is, that turns into a double team. Can’t let Kelce run free wherever he wants, dedicate a defender to him at all times.

The chiefs won 15 games. Lost one and sat starters for their second loss. They've had luck and talents. I'm. It going to take that away. I'm not stupid. But they also have the REFS that's seems to bail them out when it matters. That's the part that worries me. The part that is predictable to the point where it has happened in almost all of their games.   Stroud came out and said it himself pretty much. I just don't want that (screwed by the refs) to be our story in the offseason

i'm more concerned about the refs than anything.

Houston players weren't lying when the attitude has to be to try to be up by multiple scores to take it out of the refs hands.

I'm very concerned about injuries going into the game - seems like Rapp is out, if Taron goes his shoulder is going to be jacked - people saying Milano was out the last series, Benford was in pain limping - hopefully no other major surprises on injury report

The matchup everyone will talk about is of course Mahomes vs Allen. And I hope the chatter all week is that Allen can't beat Mahomes when it counts. Put that chip on Josh's shoulder.

The biggest matchup this week is going to be Spags and his blitzes vs Joe Brady and Aaron Kromer. This will be what decides the game IMO.

Handle the blitzes and you handle that defense.

If I am Beane and Pegula I am on the phone with the league demanding the guy that reffed the Chiefs-Texans game not be allowed to have the championship game.  The Chiefs are unbeaten with him, and the roughing calls on Saturday were absurd.  I read somewhere the ref was saying he THOUGHT he saw contact to the ehad so threw a flag.  You don't think you saw something, you have to KNOW you saw it.

Sick of Tony Romo

Can’t argue that, but the alternative would likely be Tom Brady calling the game. Perhaps that would be most apropos. Slaying the current demon whilst the last one calls the game.

still trying to figure out why the Ravens scared me more than the Chiefs

I can sum that up pretty quickly. One team beat the hell out of us in the regular season, well the other one lost to us.

Try skiplagging. Might save a few bucks.

won’t that get you banned from the airline if you do it?

someone on another thread did a pretty good analysis of past playoffs and apparently there’s a very good chance we get either Shawn Hochuli or Clete Blakeman.

It makes me sad we didn’t win last night.  This was such a special season.

However, I have found great joy.   We are 4-0 in the Super Bowls having beat NY, Washington and Dallas twice.  We beat the NYG, until we beat ourselves with a missed field goal.   We beat Washington, until we beat ourselves with a lost helmet and dropped passes over the middle.   We beat Dallas except for the self inflicted 12 turnovers.

So, congratulations to Baltimore for last night’s victory.   You beat a franchise with a storied four consecutive Super Bowl victories and legacy of fielding the greatest team of all time.

I know this was sarcasm, but still, it somehow hurt my soul to read...

There has been a lot of talk over the last 2 days about the officiating in that game. Everyone, even the announcers and a bunch of neutral fans were getting on Chiefs fans on Twitter about it and it's getting noticed. I hope the NFL realizes this and calls a fair game Sunday.
