It doesn’t make a lot of sense to me personally to cherry pick just the playoff games but maybe I’m in the minority. The chiefs last two games against us were to clear the last big hurdle towards an undefeated season and to eliminate the only team that beats them pretty consistently from the playoffs the year before. I would at minimum include those two games into the overall ‘how do the bills play against the chiefs in humongous games’ conversation. The playoffs only sample size just seems way too small to conclude anything especially when every game regular season or playoffs is your classic ‘could go either way late’ type game It’s crazy how much one game can change the whole narrative, last year we were probably a mess at linebacker away from being 5-1 against kc in our last 6 with the only loss being the 13 seconds debacle. But now it’s ‘we’ll never win the playoff game’ 1 Quote

On an even playing field, the Bills take it by double digits. Seems like whenever the Chiefs offense starts stalling out, they get some assistance from the refs. Cash Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Less than entering the 13 seconds game, but more than last year. I had hope last year but really just hopium - our defense was so banged up. It was hard to imagine Andy Reid would lose to a defense called by AJ Klein. But still - that’s why they play the games. And I know I felt good about the game being in Orchard Park for once. Definitely hurt, losing at home. This year, even with the injuries yesterday, we’re much closer to our full squad. And this year’s TEAM feels greater than the sum of its parts, whereas last year’s did not. With that said, my initial thought once my thoughts turned to next week was that the Chiefs would win yet another BS game. I think because they’ll have the revenge factor like we did against the Ravens, and they’ll be at home this time. We’ll see if my feeling changes as the week goes on. Quote

That Texans game sure has some suspect calls and it seems to have really raised some concerns for the integrity of the officiating even more than it already was. I hate to think that this could be our year if not for incompetence or bias 1 Quote
machine gun kelly Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago I agree we can do it. I’m worried Rapp’s potential injury is concerning. We need him. If we have everyone else, that’s a good thing. I’m sick of going to these huge games with a ton of talent not there. It’s not a fair test. Quote
ticketssince61 Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Absolutely. Chiefs are not a juggernaut, and we are much healthier on defense Without the rash of injuries, we win last year Quote
SF Bills Fan Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago I think the Ravens are better than the Chiefs. We got the bounces yesterday. We should beat the Chiefs even without the multiple turnovers. My only concern is it’s in their stadium and the refs can help them with bad calls or non calls on their holding etc. Quote
Big Turk Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago (edited) I feel like the Bills can beat anyone and it's going to go down to the end like it usually does with these teams. Bills dominated the #1 run D against Denver and the #2 run D against Baltimore. 1 minute ago, SF Bills Fan said: I think the Ravens are better than the Chiefs. We got the bounces yesterday. Dr. K Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago I'll feel better if they can keep Kelce from being open in the middle of the field without any defender within five yards of him. Quote
Fan in Chicago Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Yes. The Chiefs were over-achieving their roster this year (and arguably so are the Bills). Get the Chiefs while they have their weakest set of players over the past several years. Next year will be different so this is the time to slay the dragon Quote
Kelly to Allen Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago (edited) I'm Optimistic but this is mahomes. Completely different monster and way better than Lamar. Kelly won the road in the AFC championship vs Marino, but his defense and running game helped him. Maybe like Phil Hansen tip for an int, Epenesa or Rousseau can do the same!!! I'm excited. Our 2nd AFC championship appearance in the Allen era and a chance to go to the super bowl. Many more to come Edited 12 hours ago by Kelly to Allen Quote

We score 30, I think we beat them. If we play conservative offensively like we did tonight, then it will be a lot harder One of the keys for this game was to not have shot our load against the Ravens, but not sure I see that being a consideration, the entire team and all things Bills understand the ramifications for this game. No player or group of players much less the entire team will be looking past this game. Other than for Denver having played KC's JV team, we score more points than anyone on KC this season. Take Kelce out of the game and the job is half done. We cannot rely on the defense however, or takeaways. We need to be aggressive offensively as you stated. Quote

Rapp Bernard Benford Rousseau Milano Johnson....going to be a nervy week. I don't think Bernard, Benford or Rosseau were injured. The game plan against the Chiefs will be very different than what we did agains the Ravens...I think they will let Josh take his shots and the Defense will be focused more on stopping Worthy and Kelce. It is going to be a great game. Go Bills !!! Quote
dhgold Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago I feel better about the Bills playing the Chiefs in KC than I did about them playing the Ravens in Buffalo. Quote
NoHuddleKelly12 Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Given what we’ve done at Arrowhead in the regular season the past few years, combined with a W this week…could we then start calling it “Highmark Central” just like we used to call Joe Robbie in Miami “Rich Stadium South”? Wouldn’t that just send Chiefs Planet into a frenzy and get in the players’ heads 😅? Quote

The Chiefs have only played four teams ranked among the top-10 in scoring D. The Chargers (1st) Denver (3rd) Pittsburgh (8th) and Baltimore (9th) Against Pittsburgh they had a short-field three times due to two great returns (P & KO) (42 TD and 54 FG) and otherwise one fumble. (34 TD) In their Ravens game they had a Balt 4th-and-3 choke give them the ball at their own 49 (FG) and Jackson fumbling to give them ball at Balt's 14 (FG). 21 otherwise. Against the Chargers and Denver they put up 16, 17, and 19. In our first matchup, Allen set them up at our own 40 (INT) for a TD. Apart from that they had two drives for 70 & 88 for TDs. After that they were pathetic, 40 total yards on 6 drives with a max of 31 that ended in a punt. Meanwhile, we posted TD drives of 65, 70, 70, and 83, and a FG drive of 62. The game wasn't even as close as that score, and if Allen doesn't throw that pick, we may have won that game 37-14. If we don't turn the ball over, and don't allow any huge returns, and make sure that Kelce doesn't have a season best, we should be fine. The Chief's D is good but not great despite their 4th overall ranking based upon a slate of weak offensive teams. GO BILLS!!! Quote

I'm all for scoring as much as possible but I'm just saying think 30 wins it. The Chiefs have scored 30 points twice all season and it took them until OT to get one of them. 1 Quote

The other 30 was Carolina. 'nuff said. As you say, 30 should win it, as in the first game, 22 might win it, but why allow it to be so close if we don't have to, eh. Everyone in the world, pretty close to literally, knows what Allen can do. There's no sense in limiting him for purposes of "not showing anything" to our SB opponent. I haven't felt this good about a playoff game after the WC Round since the '90s. GO BILLS!!! 1 Quote
