The previous two meetings I was a nervous wreck and wasn’t too optimistic, I think hopeful is the best word. The game next week, I am really comfortable right now. It could change closer to game day but for this Ravens game, I immediately was nervous after beating Denver. Baltimore’s offense was just very scary to me. KC, I feel really good right now. What about you guys? It's a tough question coming right after the Bills just played arguably their worst game since the Rams loss. Confidence can be an illusion in survive and advance mode. 1 Quote
DapperCam Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago I'm more optimistic this year than last year because our defense was so injured. Quote
Punch Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago I've never been more confident in the Bills, honest to god. 3 Quote
mike22nc Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago We're stronger on offense, specifically on the line. They're a much weaker offense. Yes, I am more confident than I was going into any previous playoff game against KC. To us, we already know Josh is the best player in the league. After next week and the super bowl, he's going to be undeniable. 1 Quote
That's No Moon Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Just now, Punch said: I've never been more confident in the Bills, honest to god. This guy gets it. Two playoff wins without Allen God-mode. It's still there, they haven't used it. And the defense did enough. We aren't built to shut teams out, slowing them down is enough. Would I have appreciated more points? Sure, was it better that they not turn it over? Yup. 1 1 Quote
Warcodered Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago I do, Chiefs feel like a wounded animal that we're more than capable of bringing down. Sure it was similar last year, but if anything the assuredness and confidence we had playing at home kind of felt like it was bound to somehow work against us and it kind of did. This year there's none of that, team is laser focused. Chiefs have knocked us out of the playoffs too many times for us to be anything else. You could worry about those losses getting in the teams head but fortunately we've beaten them every year in the regular season home and away, so I don't think that really exists. We know they're mortal, the job just needs to get done. No overblown confidence it's something they can do and it's a job that needs doing. Quote
0017 Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago (edited) I feel a strange confidence that I’m not used too, I think it’s because Allen is playing within the offense and it’s making the whole team better, and then Allen can always turn it up to eleven, and do special things. It’s just fun to be a Bills fan right now. Edited 5 hours ago by 0017 1 1 1 Quote
Generic_Bills_Fan Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago I knew the chiefs game was over while watching injuries pile up in the Steelers game lol was actually surprised we had a shot late Quote
gonzo1105 Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Yes I'm more optimistic. This team, especially its key players, have been to Arrowhead numerous times over the last 5 years in both the regular season and the playoffs so I don't think the Bills will be wide eyed by a Arrowhead crowd per say. They are also very familiar with the Chiefs and have beaten them just not when it counts yet. The Bills are also two dimensional on offense and it appears that the Bills are transitioning a little bit on defense to becoming more balanced between man coverage and zone coverage. The team is evolving in a very good way. Does it mean we win? I dont know but i'm more optimistic for sure. 1 Quote
TheBrownBear Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago (edited) Yes. They aren't what they were in the past and we have had enough success against them to know we can do it. I think it's a real toss up game, maybe slight edge to Buffalo. Now, we just have to go out and get it done. Edited 6 hours ago by TheBrownBear Quote
buffblue Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Without question yes. In years past you may hope. This year I actually believe. Quote
Fetou Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Yes. Their offense is less explosive than it has been and Kelce is getting older. Quote
Nelius Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Absolutely. Josh Allen is better. Seem them before, etc. A lot of the “only regular season” stuff matters more - we know them, we can beat them. Also been watching a lot of Chiefs this year since I routinely play Noah Gray bets, and a lot of their 3-6 options are duds. Anything other than Kelce and Worthy really. They miss a Demarcus Robinson dependability. They have the names but Mahomes isn’t tossing 400 and lighting it up. Hopkins seems old. Kelce should eventually be old. Pacheco seems either chronically injured or to have taken a step back. Yeah I like it. 1 Quote
Big Blitz Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago The Chiefs and the league are getting so much heat about the refs it feels like a course correction must happen. So I’m not sure I’m going to sweat the refs - but I hope the national media attention on the league and its officials is extreme scrutiny this week. Like, will the refs call that Dawkins holding penalty this week or think twice? If Mahomes gets breathed on are they going to let it play? Because they’ll be under a microscope this week. And will the Bills get some calls? We play like we can we will win. Quote
