Yea I think they got bad spots on 2nd and 3rd down. On 3rd Id have tried the two yard tush push. If you don't get it and you are within 6 inches then go again on 4th. If you are stopped and its still a long 1 kick the FG and go up 8 same as they did from the 2. 1 Quote

In that case Allen gets the ball with a minute left in a tie game. I totally would have signed up for that last Monday. Quote
notpolian Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago The FG decision was the right one. The 3rd down play call not so much. I was yelling at the TV for two sneaks. But Andrews bailed us out. 1 Quote

Especially when they have a play that has proven unstoppable all season, even when the defense knows exactly what the play is. Playcall was fine becasue it was 5 yards to give yor Buffalo of a QB momentum Quote

I just worry a tad that Baltimore just gave Spags the blueprint. Ironically Baltimore laid the exact same blueprint back in week 4. That's why we traded for Cooper, and as soon as we got him the offense started dominating on a weekly basis. I'd like to know what happened over the past month because suddenly Cooper isn't getting involved at all and the passing offense has regressed. 1 Quote

The second half was not Brady’s finest moment as a play caller. I really do wonder what happened on the backend, because it was clear Baltimore was clogging the box to stop the run. It could have been that Cooper/Hollins/Coleman just weren’t getting open deep? 1 Quote

Buffalo has just been running the ball as good as anybody. They’re doing to other teams what they have done to us for so long and keeping the ball out of the opposing QBs hands. Quote
gonzo1105 Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago It was the right call, as I said in the game thread. You can’t be beaten down 8 and it forces the other team to be perfect and the Ravens made a mistake Quote
RiotAct Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago (edited) 4th and 1.5 or less, go for it. 4th and 3, it gets quite a bit harder. I think it was the right call too, but I’m in the stands cheering for men in tights instead of down on the field making the decisions😂 Edited 7 hours ago by RiotAct Quote
saundena Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Brady was great in the 1st half. No so great in the second half. I wish we would have sneaked it twice, but when it was 4th and two, McD absolutely made the right call. Ravens defense was too tough to risk it. The drop on the 2 point conversion vindicated McD, but even if it was caught, we had over a minute and a half, 2 time pits and Josh Allen. Very happy for our team and also McDermott! Quote
HamptonBillsfan Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Can’t criticize Sean for this game. The FG was a no brainer. You go for it on 4th down and miss with 3min and change left even from the 2 yd line, you’re asking to have them stick it in your ear with Lamar. He scored from the 20, with so much time to throw and even if they get the conversion, we get the ball back with plenty of time to win. More importantly, the defensive game plan neutralized Henry and Lamar got turned over twice. We didn’t have to ask Josh to be a superhero and throw the ball all over the place. Good game for Sean and Babich. Quote

You can't play to lose against KC and put it in the hands of Mahomes/ the refs The issue I have is a shotgun qb draw. Tush push it in twice in a row if you have to. Hasn’t been stopped all year. Game over. Always relying on the defense at the end has gotten us into trouble. 1 Quote
DrDawkinstein Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Kudos all around. Wasnt a perfect game, especially for Brady. But McD had the guys ready to play a very physical game, and no errors in clock management, etc. The FG was absolutely the right call, even if Andrews catches that 2 pt. It's not the aggressive, sexy call and I was a bit bummed. But it's the right call. Very impressed with this win tonight. Happy to give McDermott credit for a lot of that. Quote

If we didn't make it and the Ravens went 98/99 yards and didn't need a 2 point conversion the other y'all folks would be out in full force. It was a choice with no guarantee either way. Quote
Alphadawg7 Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago 1 hour ago, BillsFan130 said: I still Hated it. Needed two yards to win the game. If you don't get it, ravens need 98 yards. It was an Andrews drop away from potentially being a disaster decision The Andrew’s drop is the entire point of taking the points there. You force them to be perfect needing a TD and 2 pt conversion. Worst case, Josh Allen still had 1:31 left to go win the game in regulation with a FG Quote
