You missed #4 imo. Take your chances in OT if 1-3 go the wrong way. The worst of the 4 but still a shot to win.

Exactly. Do this stupid stuff against kc and you lose.  We beat kc this year because we went for it.  If Andrews catches that 2 pointer and this easily could have been another blunder.  Happy with the win. But you play to win. Bills narrowly avoided disaster. This goes to ot I think we are singing a different tune.

I found myself agreeing with McD on the critical calls in this game (evidence in the GDT). This is rare for me.

Should not have came down to that decision. Allens sneaks have been gaining 2 yrds on each plays, they ran him instead on a designed run for a loss. Woulda been a comfortable 2 possesion lead

I agree but that ball should have been placed closer, wanted him to challenge it. Also, where it was placed, do a QB sneak 2 times in a row. 95% chance to score there.

 

I am not a McDermott hater at all and his defense really stepped up, it was nice to see. 

 

Great win. Lets hope Rapp is OK but looks like he wont be. Bishop legacy game incoming...

That's fine for packages or even 50%+.  But we backed KC off earlier in the year with a couple of explosives to Cooper early and that's what this offense was missing tonight imo.

Nah. The FG took the Bills dormie, as in there's no way they lose in regulation.

 

As it turned out, the ravens needed 88 yards after the kickoff and got it easily. 

 

Andrews drops it after you fail on 4th down and now you're trailing 25-24 and need to drive to win the game.

 

It's was absolutely the correct game management move, and I have been one of the more strident critics of McD's game management.

Whatever works is the right call. No one argues that the Bills are headed to KC now.

 

Strategy wise, if it is well thought process, he should sleep well at night.

 

Look at the play sequence, on 1st down Cook gets to 5. I thought they may try a play-action but I get it they want to mill the clock. The next play Josh almost got in - I think that's their best play there and Josh is visibly pissed that he tripped so close.

 

Then the run option at the gun where Josh kept the ball --- I think that's where they went to the well too many times and the Ravens were ready for it. Keep that thought because I think you will see the Chiefs taking that Ravens approach seriously next week. 

 

If I were to call the play, I'd use the Davis TD play earlier where they made it look like a tush push play but allowed Davis to have some time to choose the gap to run it in. You gotta develp some variations from the Tush Push, especially against the big Ravens NT.

Ya I gotta see the all 22 clips. But it definitely looked like Baltimore crowded the box in the 2nd half.

You think that there should have been a few shot plays to Cooper, but never saw it

You could have definitely lost it in regulation.  (Or in overtime and we all know the bills overtime record)

 

Andrews catches the ball, and you go 3 and out on offence.

 

The bills played not to lose on that sequence, and got a huge break with the drop

I thought about that but I'm not sure that's a challengeable thing whether to spot at the 1 or the 2 if it's NOT relevant to being a first down/not a first down or something like that. Just moving the spot, I hope someone has the actualy rule book, but without another element involved it might not be eligible.
