oldmanfan Posted yesterday at 03:35 AM Posted yesterday at 03:35 AM For God sakes. The first two drives in the second half were weak, but this offense scored 27 today and over 30 for how many games straight (ignore the Pats game). Everybody eats; if Cooper was getting open he’d get the ball. Brady has done a masterful job mixing run and pass, using RBs, and so on. But some of you want to go back to having Josh have to force the ball to a single guy and so on. 1 1 1 1 1 Quote

notpolian Posted yesterday at 03:37 AM Posted yesterday at 03:37 AM He had single coverage a bunch based on the few times I could see. I hope they try to take advantage of that if it occurs next week. Quote
Matt_In_NH Posted yesterday at 03:41 AM Posted yesterday at 03:41 AM Just keep winning, who cares but if it finishes like this not the best use of a 3rd round pick. Quote

Samuel appears to be healthy and have moved past him on the depth chart. Cooper also has a lot of the same skillet as Coleman . Add to that as much as we've been running the ball in game so f late, Hollins is the best blocking WR so he's definitely on the field. Also factor in we go with 6 PL often or today saw Gilliam out there a fair amount plus at least one TE on the field. Probably don't want to sit Shakir So if you got 6 OL, plus Allen, Cook, TE, Hollins only one spot left. Even without 6 OL only two spots left and 4 guys competing for them, Knox, Samuel, Coleman and Cooper. And Cooper has least playing time with Allen and as someone said maybe he's getting old?? Coleman is now been with Allen for 5 months so he's likely getting more comfortable with eachother too. Quote

Oh yeah? What year was he an All Pro? Hint. He wasn't. Ever. He was a pro bowler, but so was Mac Jones. And he still needs to know what routes to run and gain Allen's trust. Yes, he needs reps. Quote

But that ball had to have been like a frozen bar of soap today. It wasn’t a great game. Or a pretty game. But it was well managed. 1 Quote

I don’t think so. I think that was just their game plan. I hated it. The cynical part of me says Joe Brady wanted to show the league that he can win even when Josh doesn’t do much. Probably nonsense. We can nit pick and I agree we bogged down but your just trying to win and get to next week. It doesn’t always have to be pretty and it wasn’t tonight but we’re moving on and the Ravens aren’t. I’ll take 2 more really ugly victories 1 1 Quote

gonzo1105 Posted yesterday at 03:50 AM Posted yesterday at 03:50 AM I think the thought process is that they gave up the 3rd and got the 5 back but they also expect to get some sort of compensatory pick for him back probably in the form of a 5th or 6th rounder in 2026. I don't expect to see him get re-signed Quote
NickelCity Posted yesterday at 03:50 AM Posted yesterday at 03:50 AM 45 minutes ago, GunnerBill said: Yea he got too conservative 3rd quarter - that tight end screen on 3rd and medium in particular sucked. But in his defense he did try a couple of hard sell play action deep shots and Josh came off them because there wae nothing open. The final drive where we got stopped at the 2 he used two plays I was asking for earlier - slant to Keon and misdirection roll out to the back in the flat - but honestly we don't have a ton of plays that work when a team takes the middle away. And the Ravens second half said "you are not beating us in here, go outside if you like" and we have no answers. That is largely personnel although the bit that is on coaching is they have to find a package for Cooper. Even if just to throw him one or two safe, caught or out of bounds, type balls. Just to make the D respect it. The behind the sticks throw to knox on 3rd and 7 or whatever it was was utterly absurd. Wtf was that?? 1 Quote
