It's not like he's on the 53. What would we be doing with the extra Practice Squad spot? Have another Tyreek Maddox-Williams, Anthony Brown, TeCory Couch, or Daequan Hardy level player who, like them and Hyde - also won't see the field?

Looked really weird to be injured that badly on that play...didn't seem like anything out of the ordinary happened on replay, but then gets carted off.

So he got injured in the banged up bills clip...but played a bunch more snaps after that. 

 

Then during the broadcast they said he got injured on the von Miller fumble recovery but I haven't seen any video of that. Then we hear he got carted off.

If Rapp is out next weekend, how about activating Micah Hyde?  His experience might be more important than the athleticism he may have lost.

If Hyde was going to play, he should’ve got some time in the last game against NE. The game will move VERY fast for him if he gets out there, even with his years and years of experience. You don’t just walk back into meaningful time in professional sports like that.

Well, the Bills interrupted LB Klein’s vacation to suit him up for the divisional game last season.  At least Hyde has been participating in practice, so it’s not as if he’s unfamiliar with the schemes and his teammates.

Hyde is the best safety we have.  The only reason he did not come back and start this year was him.

I disagree.  If you have been doing it for years and as he has been practicing, he will have no problem if his body can stay healthy.

They showed a replay of it later.  It was helmet to helmet plus his neck was crunched.

Whenever I see that GMC commercial with the trucks crab walking I just go “but why?”

For all the talk of Hyde playing? He's not. If you listened to the way McDermott talked about him, it's almost like he's just serving in a coaching capacity. He may be out there doing a little bit, but there has been no indication about him getting meaningful reps in practice either. We have Bishop and Lewis. One of those guys is gonna have to get it done.
