Lamar Jackson - Popular Opinion

I’ve been holding onto this all season.  But I like Lamar.  I love the way he plays.  I don’t think he should have won the MVP last year and don’t think he should this year.  I also don’t think he’s on the same tier as Josh (and Pat).  But he seems like a cool dude and unfortunately due to circumstances Ravens/Bills fans are forced to fight.

 

Even his quote from the other day saying he isn’t friends with QBs he wants to win (I kinda want my QB to have that old school mentality).  Sucks that the playoff choker narrative will stick to him.  But I’d rather it be on him than Josh.

 

Hats off to the Ravens, I’ve been confident, but their run game has scared me all week.

Agree with a lot of this, a lot of the problems with Lamar aren't from him, it's the weird narrative that surrounds him.

 

Like he's a solid player, but the rabid machine that attacks Allen when he gets compared to him, winning an MVP when he probably shouldn't, not really his fault but still obnoxious.

He definitely not a sore loser. Had a huge smile on when he embraced Josh at the end of the game. Good for him.

Ravens and Lamar are way better than j gave them credit for.  Props to them.  We are lucky to escape with a win?

Bmore is also alright. Their worst fans and our worst fans are not representative of their fanbases. I went to the Ravens game earlier in the year and the fans we encountered before and after were great. I like them a helluva lot better than KC, Cinci etc.

I was rallying the troops around here persistently and through a lot of doubt to draft him. I'm happy that we ended up with the right Josh instead, but Lamar is a really talented player as well.

Lamar was invisible for most of the game, but he showed up when the Ravens had a chance. Ultimately, if Brady called a better 2nd half, he wouldn't have had that chance, but Lamar Jackson is a Hall of Famer and deserves the recognition.

Not an unpopular opinion.  He is a very likable, easy to root for and not annoying like Patty.

I noticed that too, I'll give him credit.  Not a knock on Josh, but if Bills had lost, doubt he'd been smiling like that

The Bills take years off of my life every week.  The Ravens are a great team. Lamar did everything he could. The defense came up big and the Ravens miscues cost them.

What's not to like about him? He's a great Quarterback. He doesn't do or say anything wrong off the field. 

 

I know fans are annoyed that he stands between Josh and the MVP. But I don't think that means anyone should hate the guy. For what? Being good?

 

That being said, if we would have lost this game - I probably wouldn't be so gracious. But that didn't happen, so..... great Quarterback, great dude 😂

He's a much better passer then given credit for as well. Off day for him today, but he's really come a long way.

LOL.  You high or drunk.  His TOs help lose the game.  Josh was steady and did what the coaches had him do.
