34-78-83 Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Couple points- It was the loudest I’ve heard inside the stadium since the 90’s. Even in the 300 section where lots of the sound normally escapes, it was deafening! The narratives all over the Internet this morning being about giving Lamar a pass with 2 turnovers in a playoff game are embarrassing, desperate and are just revealing lots of those who voted for All pro and mvp. People are too proud to admit their poor judgment. To ever win an MVP, Josh is going to have to dust the runner ups by so much because his back story isn’t as woke as guys like Lamar. It’s sad, but whatever, we won the game and I’ll take that over any award. And Lamar is great by the way. Bernard and Bass made the biggest plays of the game in our estimation. As many have said, this game was planned and executed much like that of the Patriots in their great years. 4 3 Quote

Shame on us for not capitalizing and actually blowout them out, but to conveniently dismiss the first half because of his “winning plays” in the second half is interesting. Granted we got that pretty soft dpi which balanced it out but I really think that game is a blowout if Dawkins doesn’t get called for that laughable hold after the INT.. we never quite ran it up into ‘ravens must abandon their gameplan’ territory but that drive probably would’ve done it Edited 13 hours ago by Generic_Bills_Fan 3 1 Quote
kkim0904 Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago We need to stop with 3 men rush when the game is on the line. 3 men rush has repeatedly hurt us in big moment. 1 1 Quote

ColoradoBills Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Slept in this morning in Colorado. It's 0 degrees outside and sunny. It's a beautiful morning! Get some good rest Bills players and go and win another one Sunday! Quote
Cash Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago 1 hour ago, Logic said: Amidst the jubilation of the victory, the celebration beers, and all the smack talking I was doing to Ravens fans on Twitter, I didn't post here last night. My thoughts: - Peter Schrager said it best this morning: For once, the catastrophic failure in a key moment happened to the OTHER team. For once, a "name game" happened to the OTHER team. The Mark Andrews Game. For once, it was the OTHER team that had untimely drops, turnovers, and errors that ultimately cost them the game. That, more than almost anything else, feels like the lasting takeaway to me. I haven't seen it often. Maybe never. Hell of a time for a first. - The Broncos and Ravens both boasted elite rushing defenses heading into their matchups with Buffalo. The Bills gave BOTH of these run defenses their worst performance of their season, and did it in the PLAYOFFS. - I just honestly never imagined a day where the Bills defense and running game would lead the way to victory in a playoff game, while Josh Allen mostly looked like Clark Kent. Does anyone honestly think the Bills would've won last night's game with the rushing offense of years past? No way. If anyone's looking for a reason why this Bills team is different than Bills teams past under Josh Allen, it's the run game. It's the ability to lean on something OTHER than Superman Josh. - I think the Bills defense needed every single one of the players it had at its disposal last night. If any of Milano, Bernard, Johnson, Benford, whomever...wasn't out there on that field last night, I'm not sure they win. Defensive health, along with the run game, are the big, glaring differences this year. - Josh did what he needed to do, when he needed to do it. Not one of his best games ever statistically, but it doesn't matter. He played well. His clean game with no turnovers -- while Lamar committed two -- is a big reason for the Bills victory. - Speaking of Lamar: I must be taking crazy pills this morning, seeing so many people (particularly on social media) say that the loss isn't on Lamar, that he played well, etc. Newsflash: You commit two turnovers in a playoff game, and you're losing much more often than you're winning. One of his two turnovers led to 7 Bills points, in a game the Bills won by 2. So miss me with the "it's not on Lamar" stuff. It's not ALL on Lamar, but he ABSOLUTELY shoulders some blame. Anyone wanna guess how the media would be treating Josh Allen this morning if HE had committed two turnovers and lost? Exactly. - I know we all had the same feeling as that 4th quarter was winding down: The opposing team needed 8 points to tie it up, and all that stood between them and doing so was a Sean McDermott defense in the playoffs. We've all seen this movie before, and it doesn't end well. And if it had gotten to overtime? Well, that movie usually doesn't end will for the McDermott Bills, either. But to reiterate my first point: For once, the fates smiled upon the BILLS rather than the other team. The rarest of the rare. Call it what you want. Call it the Bills "escaping" with a win -- they did. Call it the Bills doing ENOUGH to win -- they did. Call it the fickle football gods, just for once, casting good fortune upon the Bills -- they did. Whatever you choose to call it, the outcome is the same: The Buffalo Bills are headed to the AFC Championship Game. GO BILLS!!! As they lined up for the 2 pointer, I say out loud, “No way we stop this.” I was stunned when Andrew’s dropped it… But I was expecting Allen to lead us down the field for a game winning score. Not counting on it (I’m a Bills fan), but I thought we were going to win despite the Ravens tying it up. 1 hour ago, Jauronimo said: Lamar was amazing if you ignore that spin-a-rama fumbled that completely changed the game script and gave Buffalo a 2 possession lead. And if you ignore the interception that would have been an INT even if Batemon turned upfield. Other than that, how was the show Mrs. Lincoln? I had to give a big presentation to some higher ups at work last week. Other than loudly crapping my pants in the first 5 minutes, I thought I did a great job! I assume they’re working on the promotion paperwork now. 2 2 1 Quote
Logic Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Underrated big moment of the game: Bills defense stiffening and stopping the Ravens on three straight plays after allowing the deep post completion to the one yard line in the second quarter. Holding the Ravens to 10 instead of allowing them to tie it up at 14, going into the half with a double digit lead rather than tied or only up by 7... Absolutely HUGE moment in the game. The more I reflect on it this morning, the more I reach the conclusion: The Bills defense won them this game. 8 3 4 Quote
BearNorth Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago FWIW PFF Just came out with their Team of the Week for the Division Round. Only Bill to be named was Bass Only Ravens player was former Bill Tre White, whose PI arguably was one of the most meaningful plays in the game. Thought it was interesting. 1 Quote
NyQuil Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago People are going to call this game the Mark Andrews Game or the Drop but its overlooking the fact that even if they converted the 2-point attempt the Bills still had 90 seconds and two time outs to go about 40 yards for a FG attempt at the end. 3 1 Quote

Believe me, I would much rather have it this way than the other way around but the doublethink on some of these guys is incredible. It's stunning that the Ravens lost because their roster is so amazing that the media voted them into the Pro Bowl and All Pro lists...but somehow the guy who blew out so many wins that he effectively sat for two games doing so with an inferior squad is less impressive? 1 Quote

They said he cost the Bills games etc. Lamar gets a pass from many of these same pundits. On Get Up today the only two that would not let Lamar off the hook was Booger McFarland and Damien Woody. Orlovsky did state that Lamar's fumble was a 10 point swing. He then mentioned the fact that Josh, when stopped at the goal line on 3rd down, did not try to pitch the ball back to keep the play going. Something he might have done in earlier years. Booger especially spoke about how some players come up big in big games. Lamar and Andrews did not. 2 1 1 Quote

Magox Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago I know that the popular theory that the Bills aren't throwing it to their wideouts is because they can't separate. There is some truth to that but this offense and it's offensive structure is not a wide receiver friendly sort of offense. Gabe Davis and Diggs production took a noticeable dip after Brady took over and this year we've seen many games where the wideouts aren't targeted that much at all. Honestly, I think its a combination of some separation issues, play designs and Josh not having the trust to throw it to them. It's been working so its hard to argue the results but there has to be more play designs to beat these tight man coverages. Josh trusted Amari in two hugely critical third down passes against the Chiefs earlier in the year and in order to beat them again, they will need to do the same. 1 Quote

RyanC883 Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago oddly, the most Bills thing possible did NOT happen. That being Andrews drops the 2pt conversion, Ravens then kick onside, recover, and kick a winning FG. 1 Quote
