People get blown up on blocks all the time and yes they get hit in the head/neck area too.

As much as I can't stand Mahomes and what he gets away with, this hit is not the same.

You're just wrong.

e.  A passer who is standing still or fading backward after the ball has left his hand is obviously out of the play and must not be unnecessarily contacted by an opponent through the end of the down or until the passer becomes a blocker, or a runner, or, in the event of a change of possession during the down, until he assumes a distinctly defensive position. However, at any time after the change of possession, it is a foul if:

1.  an opponent forcibly hits the quarterback’s head or neck area with his helmet, facemask, forearm, or shoulder

2.  if an opponent lowers his head and makes forcible contact with any part of his helmet against any part of the passer’s body. This provision does not prohibit incidental contact by the mask or the helmet in the course of a conventional block.

I hope we see a lot of that extra effort stuff tonight.  Where you’ll see Dion or Brown, etc.  carrying Cook the extra couple yards and punishing defenders along the way.

I don’t understand why Hollins went thru the metal detector.  He isn’t wearing anything.  Lol

1. We are healthy as never before in PO.

2. Ravens offense unstoppable? They scored 518 points in the regular season. We scored 525.

3. Yeah we lost 35-10. With Lewis, Spector, Williams and Bishop on the field, with Morrow coming for 3LB sets. Something tells me it will look different with Johnson, Bernard, Milano and Rapp.

4. Milano is getting into form. So is Miller.

5. No Cooper and hobbling Shakir in the first game.

6. No Flowers today.

7. McDermott knows our PO losses were mostly on defense. Won't let that happenthis time.

8. Historically we knew how to contain Lamar, we just didn't have the personnel in W4 this season.

9. McD might be bad at game management sometimes, but I can guarantee he will trust Josh when game will be on the line.

10. We are not losing 3 divisional games in a row.

11. Betting underdog at home after being 9-0? No AllPros or ProBowlers? I am sure players will want to make a statement.

12. It will be cold, really cold. Allen thrives in cold. Lamar wears mask under 50.

13. Allen and Lamar in playoffs? Based on history not exactly a tough choice.

14. Allen is as hot and focused as they come. And he remembers all the loses. He won't be denied.

Tlrd; we will crush them tonight. Or if we don't, we still win something like 31-28 and then it will be the hardest game on our way to Lombardi.

I stand corrected. However, as I said, people get blown up on blocks all the time. IMO this is a BS rule if it's enforced as much. If the QB is attempting to go after the ball carrier, he should be treated as any defender.
