So, if the Lions won today and won next week to go to the Super Bowl and then got blown out in the Super Bowl, would it be injuries that was a big problem in it? They went 15-2. Aiden Hutchinson hasn't played since like week 5. They were 12-1 going into the Bills game. You can't use injuries as a big excuse with 15 wins. Especially when they were still as dominant as they were. When they lost McNeil and Davis against the Bills they were in massive trouble in regards to winning the whole thing. They beat the Bears. Allowed 34 points to the CMC less 49ers. And beat the Sam Darnold led Vikings. 1 Quote

Even @GunnerBill whom I respect. They had cap space, draft picks, and a new owner. You don't get that in NFL job openings usually. Yea I am naturally a bit sceptical of new owners. They rarely get things right first time. But give credit to the owners in Washington looks like they made some very solid hires - in my defence when they hired Adam Peters I did say that makes the HC job a bit more attractive. 1 Quote
Kelly to Allen Posted January 19 Posted January 19 (edited) Once amik Robertson got hurt it was the straw that broke the camel's back. The injuries were getting close to critical mass and that was it after Robertson got hurt on the first series. It was a tidal wave after that and you could see the demoralization of the lions players. I still they're going to be great next year tho. Almost everyone is back. Goff didn't play that good with the turnovers but I think they were obviously pressured because the defense just couldn't stop anything Edited January 19 by Kelly to Allen 1 Quote
GunnerBill Posted January 19 Posted January 19 My personal horn toot is I really liked Dyami Brown coming out. Not really sure why it has taken his entire rookie deal for it to happen but he has fully broken out in these playoffs. Just in time to make himself some money in FA. I wouldn't hate the Bills taking a shot. That talent has always been there. Quote
Kelly to Allen Posted January 19 Posted January 19 (edited) Jayden Daniels reminds me of Montana. His poise, mobility and a quick smooth release. Excellent composure and underrated arm Edited January 19 by Kelly to Allen 1 Quote

RobbRiddick Posted January 19 Posted January 19 (edited) Just been glancing at the Detroit Lions forum game thread. Always interesting when you look at the extreme confidence before the game kicked off. Our time is NOW! Most of us have waited our entire life to be in this situation. 60 minutes away from having the opportunity to HOST the NFCC Game for a trip to our 1st SB! The Commanders don’t know what they are in for today. Many have said don’t be too confident, don’t jinx anything, etc. Usually I’d agree with them but THIS is a different year and time. This isn’t @ Washington. Bring it! I’m so fired up guys and gals. Actually had trouble sleeping this week. Let’s hear Ford Field ROAR tonight! GO Lions! and 61-10 Lions!! They will call us classless for running up the score after our Lions eat their liver and chuck the fava beans in their collective faces….meanwhile Dan Campbell and his crew will be drinking straight from the bottle of Chianti. I always admire these kinds of fans to a certain extent. I could never feel this way before a playoff game. That fan base will be reeling today Edited January 19 by RobbRiddick 2 1 2 Quote
oldmanfan Posted January 19 Posted January 19 Goff had a tough day. And the loss of so many guys on D caught up with them Quote
GunnerBill Posted January 19 Posted January 19 Also only 14 carries for Gibbs. Wasting 7 carries on David Montgomery because he is "physical." The Lions were not really in have to throw mode until the final 7 minutes. Gibbs should have seen more of the ball. 3 1 Quote
machine gun kelly Posted January 19 Posted January 19 When I woke up at 5:30, I was shocked seeing the YouTube highlights. We had a long day yesterday with bunch of fun stuff from morning to night, so fell asleep in the recliner. I woke my wife up screaming positively at the tv watching what the Redskins accomplished. Daniels is the real deal. Good for Washington. I’m happy with a new owner they put it together fast. Who knows if they’ll beat this opponent, but they should consider this turnaround a huge success no matter the outcome of next week. 1 Quote
Gilberto Posted January 19 Posted January 19 After watching the highlights this morning, I really feel for the Detroit fan base as they have a lot of similarities to Buffalo. I have nothing but sympathy for them today. Let's hope Buffalo can write a different story today. 3 1 Quote
mannc Posted January 19 Posted January 19 I wonder if this game ends differently if it’s played outdoors in Michigan …do Northern dome teams forfeit some part of their home field advantage in the playoffs by playing in cushy indoor environments? Quote
davefan66 Posted January 19 Posted January 19 Didn’t watch the entire game. Was impressed by the play of Daniel’s. Tough in the pocket and threw some great balls. Surprised they beat the Lions. But I feel the better team won yesterday. Quote
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch Posted January 19 Posted January 19 Certainly the injuries made a big difference, but I do wonder if this loss will take some of the luster off the potential hirings of Johnson and Glenn? Quote
SoonerBillsFan Posted January 19 Posted January 19 Um... I had the grand girls last night so I didn't watch the game. What the actual hell? 1 Quote
HOUSE Posted January 19 Posted January 19 Wait a minute, Detriot was the #1 rated team yesterday morning. Guess the talking heads are hiding today. 4 Quote

You have Sonic running wild and you're throwing passes with your WR? Just stupid. Meanwhile, Jayden Daniels was really impressive. Rare to see a rookie with that calm. Does Dan Campbell call the offensive plays or does Ben Johnson? Quote
