My wife is friends with two former Redskins - played in early 90s. They're clients of hers. They do not care for the organization any longer, fwiw.

That could be it.

 

Why you would run that in that situation is hard to understand.  If they make it the response is they are going down swinging, if you throw a pick you look like a desperate team that is grasping at straws.

 

Let the qb handle the game.

I stand corrected. They must have changed that rule. Not surprising as they have protected QBs over the years.
