I hope what I'm reading is true. In regards to the talk that  inclement weather will affect Lamar Jackson's game.  I would take Josh Allen over Lamar Jackson all day every day and twice a day on Sundays anyway. In the cold even better.

I choose to think of it like that really. WHO CARES what the pundits and people thinks about who contributes what where when etc.

on this team ALL eat and contribute. Ask #17. He's not shy about praising his teammates. its a Team effort. Playing for the emblem on the helmet.

YEP

I think OP wanted to get that off his chest. mission accomplished

Yes, 100% this.  I do not come here to consider outside opinions.  I come here to make phallic jokes and to inflict my opinions on the board.  So don't tell me what to think or feel!

Keep dreaming OP

Make no doubt this is 100% Allen vs Jackson.

If the coaches don't see that then we have already lost. This game is 100% on Allen passing and running us to victory.  The others need to do their job, but if you think we can win this game with Allen passing for 175 yards you are dreaming. This game will only be won if Allen goes off for 325 or more and probably will need at least 4 scores.

Want to stop Jackson and his sidekick Henry then outscore them early. Neutralize Henry and Ricard by scoring at will in the first half.

NFL stopped being a team sport a couple decades ago. It's a QB, one sidekick on offense or defense, and a supporting cast league.

It's all true but Mahomes, Lamar, Allen are keenly aware during the games of what the other QB is doing and what the offense needs to do to keep pace or create separation.

Let’s use a golf analogy. When you face off against somebody in golf you don’t directly play them. You’re playing against the golf course. How difficult the course’s defenses are. It’s your ability to navigate through those defenses better than your opponent that will get you a win.

When you beat your buddies and they come up with ‘Well you didn’t beat me the course did’. You’d laugh in their faces.

QB v QB is similar to this and that’s why it’s a relevant stat.

That'd be a great TSW byline.

For a moment there judging by the OP title I thought that this was going to be a PSA for fans to remain seated throughout the game and keep their hands inside the ride.

And if you value your job, don't call fans from the other team nasty names while being recorded.

Yes, it's technically true, but it's pedantic to belabor it. Yes, clearly everyone knows that Lamar is not defending Josh's passes, but the QB vs QB thing isn't all that different to describing individual games like Golf, Darts, Bowling etc. Phil Mickelson wasn't roleplaying as a sandtrap when he faced off against Tiger Woods, but he still played againt him, even if the game was really just playing against the course. Yes, it's absolutely a team game, but these guys understand the reality. Josh sees what Lamar is doing when he plays and if he scores a TD, he knows he has to go out there and score blow for blow. I think it matters more than a little.

The Team 34

Lamar Jackson 17

All I see and hear is Ravens, Lamar, Henry,Lamar, Henry......You would think the Bills are some third team with a tomato can at QB.  Bills are going to thrash the Ravens, and it is going to be shocking to the masses.  Then next week, that will be forgotten, Mahomes, Mahomes, Chiefs....

Finally, so it’s not just me. I’ve been aimlessly wandering the internet, trying to find one person saying what you said.

This has to be my biggest annoyance in sports - when people talk about QB vs. QB, and say things like "Mahomes always beats Allen in the playoffs."

It is the most profoundly ignorant and irritating thing that gets argued, and it is unbelievably prevalent.

A game w/ 53 players, 22 starters, tons of coaches - and it's talked about like it's tennis.

The defenses that they’ll both face have proven to be suspect, especially the 4 guys known as the secondary, so both QBs will throw for more than 300 yards.  Whoever can better read the essentially equal defenses will win, so maybe they are playing against each other, albeit not at the same time.

Agree mostly but if one defense is better then that opposing QB has a taller task, and comparisons aren’t fair.  However, this week both Ds are both mediocre, so it can be said they are playing against each other in the sense that comparing them is more valid.
