Yes.

I've only had to do it a few times in the past. I used to work in the nuclear industry doing equipment start-up and commissioning, and they have so many firewalls in place that it was never an issue as long as i had anti-virus software on my personal laptop.

Mind you, once i hook up to their network, my computer is a slave to their servers so i could never stray from any work aspects and abide by their procedural adherence.

Being a retired Systems Administrator for a large (unnamed) corporation employing over a thousand users with computers and servers at all six locations in different cities on the east coast... I ain't swallowin one drop of this "story" either. Not all of us were born yesterday or fell off of a turnip truck my friend.

It's like as soon as he set up an anti-virus program, seriously within about 5 minutes of being online, the computer was getting notification after notification that the computer was getting bombarded with viruses........almost like it was just one big homing beacon, inviting everything in and then saying it could only delete about 90% of them, but the remaining 10% were "back dooring" everything (the trojan horses and spyware were the worst culprits)

That's what happens when you start looking for "midgets riding horses" on the strange Russian/Chinese porn sites.

Well, it's actually not a story, it's a fact that we performed these tests with our computers and i have no reason to lie about the effects.

And to follow up on this, when i am working for different companies and corporations, i am required to use anti-virus software on their computers, on their networks and on their servers......on my own personal computers, i only have Windows, however, on the off chance that i have to hook my personal computer up to their servers, i have to have anti-virus software on my personal computer (but i've never had to do that yet).

Okie-Dokie... in the first chapter you used an old computer you were getting rid of... now I see "we performed these tests with our computers." Can't wait to see the next chapter.
