The Ravens may win but I doubt it's a blowout again. The Bills are an excellent home team, and they are healthy this time around. I think it will be a close game that is a toss-up.

Don't look for much statistical advantage for the Bills.

 

But, they're at home, healthy, extremely motivated due to disrepect, have played this team before and have the world's greatest player at his peak and highly motivated.

24-20 BILLS! I see Knox as our special weapon for this game. Knox will have some big grabs in this game that move the chains and keeps Baltimore's defense on the field.  Keon will have several big drops due to the cold. Lamar will go down at some point and we will see long,  heavy running by both teams which will kill the clock and keep the score low.

I was watching highlights of the week 4 game and there were at least 5 backups on defense in every positive highlight for the Ravens.  I also had forgotten about the ridiculous trick play that completely killed the momentum the Bills had gained.  If they had scored on that drive the score would have been 21-17 which may have led to a completely different final outcome.

This is the one game in our playoff journey that scares the hell out of me.  

 

We don't defend the run well.  We are vulnerable to the mid range passing game.  We don't put to much pressure on the QB in the pocket.  That makes Balt with Henry a huge matchup issue for our defense as we saw early in the season.  They also have a great OC in Todd Monken, you guided UGA to two national championships.

 

But we know Balt can be beaten.  Their 5 losses include Cleve and the Raiders.  The only common denominator in all 5 games was that Henry was kept under 85 yards.  If we can somehow contain Henry our defense will give us a chance to win.  Babich and McD should also have learned a great deal from the first game.

 

From an offense standpoint.  I'm not worried about us scoring.  Brady should have learned a great deal from the first game.  We will need to score TDs not FGs and I think we can score 28+ we will win.  Controlling time of possession with a strong ball control offense (not necessarily rushing the ball) will go along way to helping our defense.  

 

The good news is that we are undefeated at home this season and I don't think that changes this week.

Winning this game requires the best of the players, coaches, and the fans.  It goes without saying, but I'm counting on those who go to games (I'm many hundreds of miles away unfortunately) to take it to "11" this week.

Just like last time and a lot of games this season I expect the Bills to come off to a slow start and get punched in the mouth early.   They will outscore the Ravens in the second half but it wont be enough.   Setting my expectations low so I can more excited if and when the Bills actually pull off the W.
