Ok, in the cancelled regular season game, we were being rag dolled by Cincy.  They looked like the better team, and proved it in the playoff game.  Just one TD for the good guys and running game was nothing.  Fast forward, Ravens stomped us this year.  There may be some similarities, but I think Cincy had a better D than purple burds, and our team this year is better than the 2022 version.  Thoughts anyone?

I’m very worried about that, physical teams tend to give our nickel defense lots of trouble, I think offensively we are way better, and more physical than when we played the bengals in the playoffs.

Honestly, I struggle to draw comparisons from year to year team to team to think about conclusions... I see what you are saying... but in the end its a new season new team... quite honestly a new Josh and a different make up... with its own unique identity... If we control the ball, score TDs, force FGs and win the turnover battle we win... if the reverse happens we lose... gonna have to wait to game day to see who shows up on both sides... and who executes...

2022 bills team were paper tigers for a lot of the year. (Even though they had a bunch of wins)

2024 bills team is a legit Super Bowl contender.

I don't see any similarities, respectfully

I know it’s boring but truth is every game is different.

But what I will say is this. When you face a good team that is scoring, the offense has to have a response at some point. That Bengals game and the Ravens game this year, the offense had no response.

If the offense struggles, they will lose big.

Maybe my memory isn’t serving me correctly but I recall the Hamlin game as the Bengals scored easily on their first drive, the Bills drove the field and stalled and kicked a FG, then the Bengals were driving and just crossed midfield when the Hamlin play happened. You’d think the score was 28-0 with the way people seem to remember that game.

The Bills didn’t stand a chance against the Bengals in the playoffs because of one reason….they weren’t mentally right.

There are no comparisons that should be drawn to this version of the Bills and that version of the Bills.

I just watched the Bills/Ravens game from earlier in the season again last night. A couple things I took away.

1. That first play 87 yard TD run by Henry set the tone. It made Buffalo have to play catch up all day and it really set the crowd to a frenzy. I would hope the same thing doesn't happen this time. If I'm Baltimore, I try and take advantage and my first play is a play action deep bomb on play 1 thinking the Bills will overcommit to the run.

2. After the half Buffalo was moving the Ball. They were driving down the field easily and had all of the momentum. I really think they were about to come back and win that game. And then Joe Brady made, what I believe was, his worst play call of the year with that idiotic trick play. Baltimore stopped it in embarrassing fashion, got the ball and momentum back and ran away with it.

3. Baltimore played good defense and had a nice plan. And their defense has gotten better throughout the season. I believe I saw yesterday that it was the top defense from weeks 11 on in the NFL. Hamilton is a terror back there.

4. Can't start slow this game. Can... NOT

That first game probably would’ve been like 38-35 or something.

I don’t even know if that regular season analysis is right…our oline straight up dominated the cincy dline the one offensive drive we had and we obviously would’ve gone for that 4th and short if we had to

playoff game looked like we were on rollerskates in the trenches im still scratching my head a bit on that one.  I want to believe we had some cleat issue in that light snow but that could definitely be cope lol. The niners bills game actually reminded me a lot of that bills bengals playoff game but that time the niners were on skates so if my cope is somehow true maybe we figured that issue out 🤣

Can't compare games, they stand alone.   When coaches say it's a "week to week" league, they know what they are talking about.

In fact, you can't compare week 4 vs Ravens to now, as we are coming at them with very different roster than they saw week 4, plus Brady is calling things very differently now than he was in the first few games.

Frankly, Ravens haven't changed what they do much at all since week 4 and Bills have, so advantage Bills.

Get positive people, they need to catch up to us, not the other way around!

Baltimore's opponents since W11:

Steelers (trash) -- a loss

Chargers

Eagles -- a loss at home

Giants (LOL)

Steelers (trash)

Texans (minus Diggs/Dell)

Browns and their 3rd string QB

Steelers (trash)

Hey man...you take whatever you want from that.

Wasn't Allen up all night fighting with his ex the night before the game. If I remember correctly that was what happened.

I really don’t think we know what was going on behind the scenes prior to and during that game.
