I thought that Pats playoff game was the coldest we'd ever see.

Is the current forecast actually colder than that one?

No, that Pats game it was 7 degrees with a wind chill of -5.   This game is supposed to be 13 degrees, feels like -3.   Should be a bit more breezy for this game.

Anyone hear what Pat Hammer had to say with Sal? Are we looking at snow for the game now?

Probably not.

Maybe some flurries later in the game but nothing notable as it looks like the lake effect machine won't crank up til the following day when the winds increase and become more Westerly.

Still not much wind per Pat Hammer. Very cold air moving in throughout day on Sunday.

fwiw, there's shaping up to be a very good chance that the LA/Phi matchup being played right before us on Sunday, could turn out to be a verrry entertaining snow game with legit accumulation and inch/hour rates in the afternoon. 🤞

Hearing that so much snow is expected in Detroit Saturday that they are considering moving the game to Buffalo. I’ll keep you posted.

I wouldn't trust that damnable dome either!

Stupid question:

Is a temp of 15 degrees with a wind chill around 8ish enough to freeze the surface of that field and make it slick?

Temps starting around 16 dropping to 14, wind chills around 7, precip chance starting around 40% at gametime, increasing to near 60% by halftime thru end of game. Wind not a factor as should only be around 5 mph...very rare to have this many games late in the year with calm winds.  Almost never happens this time of year. January is the windiest month in Buffalo.

Just missing a winter storm watch that goes into effect at 1AM Monday morning for a few feet of snow.

It's enough to make the ball much harder to hold onto 😀

Curious- Is there a lot of snow in the aisles and underneath the seats at the stadium or has that all melted?  At the San Fran game I almost fell on my back with two beers and a few other things in my arms going down the aisle.  Two fellow mafia propped me up and prevented me from sliding all the way down to row 1.

It is, but I'm wondering about footing.

I would not like trying to check Cooper or Shakir on an icy field.

Don't worry the Bills are heating the field. The Ravens special teams coach told me. 😂
