boyst Posted 9 hours ago Author Posted 9 hours ago Kirk Morrison & Bruce Murray interview On Broncos: After first big series and TD what did Coach say? "Bounce back" "keep your heads up" coach keeps us in the game and does not let us dwell on it "Who called the d down?" "It's pretty much we do it to each other, it's usually a bunch of us." We "call out our faults" "learn from it." "They'll repeat plays, you learn from it and next time it comes around you get it. You trust God and you'll be straight and lean on one another." The unit, what it looks like and the turnover...it's got better as a unit from September and where you are now "Everyone gonna talk we tune them out." They're not here. We gotta build that bond and a football outcome. You dont want to let teammates down you got love for them. You see how hard they work. You are there for them putting in their time to motivate you too. Your brother goes hard at work it makes you pray for them to succeed, it makes us all pray. A lot of time spent as a team and unit - hanging out and we know each other. Makes it easier to pray. A full time player doing what he does.... Morrison is a doof...when you have an offense that can roll 30 pts how do you play it? Long winded question promoting himself. "We just wNt to tether ball back to Josh, cook, coop, the guys, we know they'll handle their job. They're really talented." "We need to get them the ball, coHc always says 3 offenses. We score, they score, st scores " 6 Quote

boyst Posted 9 hours ago Author Posted 9 hours ago No one expects 35-10 this weekend... They have weapons. What are challenges? Perspective on DG and corners tackling.... Challenges as CB to tackle him. "Uhhh no one is scared to tackle bro." Our numbers show we tackle and how fast they is to get there. They got a great offense. Lamar a great QB, Henry a great back." Keep fund elementals up to par, and have to stop them and get the ball. Takeaway takeaways . takeaway. QBs leave the pocket, watch that run obviously a runner he gonna use his legs. Great accuracy, give us more options. 1 Quote

boyst Posted 9 hours ago Author Posted 9 hours ago 35 pts by Ravens offensively not best day nor offense What coach saying??? "Um. First off get our bodies right and mental. Anything off the field handle that so when on field it's offotball only. Fix bruises we need every body. Make sure prepared for position. Always playing as one a unit communicate fundamentals ." Fanbase, how big this game is the pressure do you hear it? This maybe this maybe the bed two teams? What do you say? "Respectfully I don't pay attention. I focus on the main thing and what they say. That's fans they can say that to themselves to make thebgame more interesting I don't entertain that. Good for them it's a good show. The x and o." "I don't care for extra stuff." Love this answer How challenging is Lamar? Keeping eyes up, and got your man, no greater duel threat? "Keep guarding your man makes harder". Encourage our DL to get home. They do their job. I'm not DL I know I trust them. To me we gotta cover" Wish he would have said Josh is better lol 1 1 Quote
hondo in seattle Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago It's interesting to me that players seem to have a higher opinion of McD and the coaching staff than fans do. The camaraderie they talk about, the preparation, the unity, the resilience... it all comes from the coaches. 1 3 1 Quote

Honestly, no one really questions McDermott's preparation, how he has created a strong culture and how the team prepares etc. Typically it's in-game stuff. But I think mostly everyone agrees that McDermott is a good coach who has done a very good job. The question isn't if he can do the job, the question is if he can win a Super Bowl, at least in my mind. And that is where I am. Is he Tony Dungy who had to be replaced in TB to get over the hump? But anyway yes, it's great to hear players, especially a guy like Cooper, talk about how different the locker room is and how comfortable he feels. It's a testament to McDermott and his staff. 1 1 1 Quote
Augie Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago (edited) Colin Cowherd said today that McD is a better coach now than he was 3 years ago. I believe that is accurate, despite the people here who have made up their minds that he is the problem. Believe it or not, people can and should get better at what they do with more experience. He hasn’t gotten over the hump YET, but I like a guy who is in the mix and is improving. . Edited 57 minutes ago by Augie 2 Quote

Sure, you make a good point. But often you can read between the lines. Players who don't like their coaches either don't mention them or damn them with faint praise. There have been a few times I felt players may have damned our coaches, including McD, with faint praise. But there have been many other times when they've gone out of their way to praise their coaches. And former players like Eric Wood (not anonymous guys as in in the Dunne article) seem to respect McD and say things like, "McDermott always leads" and "The team has his back." And of course the Bills players, in the last NFLPA survey, gave McD a grade of "A." Put it all together and it seems the players respect McD more than the fans do. Quote
