Had all 3 against the Rams (44pts 457 yds) and the Lions (42pts 521 yds).

As long as Nacua isn’t on the Ravens… I’m a little more optimistic. We should be able to stop the run and QB scrabbles better

I do think the defense will have a much better showing, especially with having the crowd on their side. BUT if the scheme/play calling is as bad as last time, consistently giving the Ravens light boxes, those 3 won’t make a monumental difference. I don’t anticipate Babich will try to do the same as last time though. I think he’ll have a few better answers.

I think if we can chew up some clock, get some turnovers and take ways and limit the times the Ravens O is even on the field, then we are setting ourselves up in a better light than just trying to go toe to toe with them (we won't win the toe to toe/head-to-head battle with them).

Also, if we can generate a run game against them, we can soften them up which will pay dividends in the 4th quarter when the Ravens D gets gassed.

I know everyone is saying to take the lead early and get the Ravens out of their gameplan by forcing Jackson to throw, but that's not realistic, as i don't think the Ravens are going to panic by falling behind a little and believe it or not, they have a gameplan too.

Social media is touting this as the actual game of the year and they're not wrong...........it's going to be a slugfest from beginning to end.

Score first and keep the lead, thus making Baltimore throw more and neglect their run game—and that fits right into the Bills' strengths.

Then work the Buffalo run game with Cook, Davis, and the best 3rd-4th down back in the NFL!

The match-ups.

We don't need to go to the topic of Bills D against Ravens O, do we? Bills D is built to stop the pass and the Ravens O is built around running the ball. So it is kind of like fighting left-handed there.

Looking into Bills O against Ravens D. Ravens play 3-4 defense, all 3 linemen are big (over 300 lb). With Roquan Smith and Van Noy having a late career year at 33 year old, it's hard to run the ball --- Ravens is #1 against run in NFL. I think Connor McGovern against their NT Travis Jones is critical if we want to run the ball, or give Josh some room to step up in passing situations. Jones has 20lb over McGovern but believe me, the Bills are in better shape with McGovern against Jones than Morse. On the flip side, we are not likely to pull McGovern like we do with Morse to attack the edge on run plays. We need to run the ball effectively, like 3+ yards per attempt, can't allow the Ravens to tee-up on Josh with Oweh (10 sacks) and Van Noy (12 sacks). We will see Marlon Humphrey's status but he's perennial all pro. Hamilton to me is one of the best secondary player, not just on their team, but the entire league. I think Josh needs to pay close attention to him every snap.

It is a tall order - you know the Bills offense needs to find a way to move the ball and score, preferably in time consuming fashion. I know we ran the ball on Broncos which have a good D-line. But the Ravens are another level up. I see the Bills go pass heavy but I think it could lead to a disaster. The last thing we want is that our offense go 3 and out in less than 2 minutes and the Ravens run the ball to consume 7 minutes, even just to kick a field goal. Allen probably has to put superman cape on and just run the ball himself extensively, which means he could be beaten up pretty good this game and ... guess what, Mahomes is waiting at home with one extra days rest the following week.

I really want Cook to have his best game of his career. Is that in him?

I’m not sure how any of this surprising.  The Ravens offense is a beast and I don’t anticipate Buffalo stopping them.  If the Bills win, they’ll need to have a strong performance on offense.

While Baltimore has been improved defensively, I’d argue they have yet to see a top tier offense who can put points on the board since the Week 13 loss to Philly.

Their opponents have been:

NYG

PIT

CLE

HOU

CLE

PIT

Of course, I’m not saying a win will be easy.  But you can argue Buffalo is the toughest offense Baltimore has faced in months as well.

As always, the game is won and lost in the trenches, if we get average to above average performance from the Defense, and the offensive line performs as usual we will win by two scores, it’s all contingent on the Lines.

GO BILLS!!!

Maybe but a couple long bomb TDs to Coop and Coleman would give us an advantage, then work JC4.  That’s the way I’d draw it up.

Baltimore can get you on offense in every possible way... passing game, Derek Henry bashing you and Lamar scrambling... I am fairly certain that the Ravens are gonna move the ball... so my keys to victory are simple... Bills offense controls the ball and scores TDs...  Bills defense limits the big play and forces field goals... winning the turnover battle will be enormous.  It can be done... we have done it all season... we need to do it Sunday.

Both teams have improved since the last time they played. Both teams will be prepared, motivated, and well coached. I dont think it will be a high scoring game - I think itll stick around the 20s for both teams just because they will be playing hard and tight for every inch. It will be a battle and will come down to trenches and turnovers. Who makes 1 more play and who makes 1 more mistake.. Excited but not looking forward to the stress on Sunday night 😕

That's a possibility and I hope so. It would mean the Bills D being able to do a 180 from their week 4 performance against the same team and no one in the media thinks possible right now.

Wow, so you are super duper positive on so many aspects of the ravens and their team.

And cannot think of almost anything positive to say, in comparison, to the Bills.

Not an objective post in any way., though it is presented as such.

It is as if you have not watched the Bills this year and lately, to write such a post.

But I agree, if your super positive, glowing analysis of the ravens, and so many of their amazing players is accurate, the Bills are in trouble. And stand almost no chance. If I were you I would  bet a heap of money on the ravens this week, and not just on their certain victory.

If only the Bills had met some of their major challenges this year they might stand more of a chance against the superb superlative ravens...

I agree to an extent. My fear is this team has no Tru number 1 receiver. I mean who is the guy that's gonna come up with that clutch play? Shakir? Maybe. If there's ever a game to go balls to the wall, it's this one. Let's hope Brady and McDermott don't over think this

IMO, Cooper is a number 1. Not everybody can have a Chase or Jefferson, but Coop is definitely more than serviceable. Him and Josh need more time to gel along w/ the “everyone eats philosophy” hindering his production too. He’s opened up space for other receivers and has made some grown man catches. He absolutely needs to be heavily involved against the Ravens. Don’t force the ball, but implement some stuff that plays to his strengths.

I’m not harping on anything - just wondering why aren’t holding Lamar’s limited success against Buffalo, the same way you are with Josh.

The fact is that neither has played their best football against each other’s team in the past, and I don’t think it will have any effect on Sunday.

Shutting down the run completely is probably not likely.  I do think they can do a much better containing their run game.

Lamar has had limited success against Buffalo. I don't care about Lamar and the Ravens. I care about the Bills. This is a bad matchup. Doesnt mean we cant win. My entire point is that out of alllllll the teams we could play, this is the team I would least want to play because of that matchup. We are built to beat the pass and keep everything in front with small guys. We are built to beat KC. The Ravens are built to expose that. Thats why they got Henry. Henry is a freak that is not only big but also fast once he gets going. Between Lamar and Henry having the ability to bust one any time its difficult to handle when you already have poor run stop defense. I'm sorry if you don't recognize that.

I didn't bring up Allen because I wanted to have a QB debate. I brought up Allen because he hasn't had a good game against the Ravens. Thats just a fact. Ravens are going to score even if Lamar has a bad passing day. Ravens are one of the best teams against the run. Allens gonna need to play well, which he hasn't done against them yet, to win this football game.  That was my point. Lamar having a bad passing day still has other stuff to lean on.

The weather absolutely favors Buffalo. I don’t care how anyone spins it.  Lamar hates the cold, he just won’t perform as well in the low teens temperatures. I do believe Cook will offset Henry.

One interesting thought is, maybe the Broncos are actually better than how they were perceived against us. They should have beaten KC twice, albeit one time minus Mahomes and other starters. With that being said, maybe we can handle the Ravens better than what we are currently thinking. Running the ball will be key. Early on in the Denver game when I saw us effectively running I figured we’ve got this game. Let’s run well and get a turnover or two. Go Bills!! 🏈

Steelers looked like they straight up quit before halftime that was such a strange game.

He might draw the Marlon Humphrey matchup…not sure if they’ll run him outside or in the slot against Shakir.  Kind of crazy to think about that we had neither of those guys last time 😂

Do team even put a guy on him ? Cooper ?

I think Josh need to watch the pre snap matchups and check at least two of his choices quickly on the pass. Cooper and Samuel have enough speed to get over

yeah for all the accolades they gave lamar even after the steelers game you watch and see Henry is their mvp.   lamar makes the plays when he

has to though and that makes them very hard to defend

They are not the 3 TE bunch formation they used to win games with. They have run to set up the pass.

Ravens might try to switch it up if we focus on the run though. Here comes the chess match

i seriously doubt we are getting 5ypc like we did against denver.   balt is way stronger up front than that
