Fitz wasn't the most accurate passer and I questioned his in game football IQ (despite the Harvard he's so smart narrative) but he was absolutely willing to do whatever it took to help the Bills win. I remember Fitz throwing the nastiest lead blocks on running plays I have ever seen a QB throw. He seemed like the ultimate team player and I think he's deserving of being honored.

Nope.  Fitz' football IQ and accuracy were excellent...he just didn't have the arm to make the throws his brain wanted him to make.  He was a gunslinger toting a pop gun...still one of my favorite drought-era Bills of all time.

 

This selection is absolutely perfect for Sunday night...

Watched all but about 5 games of the Fitz era and disagree strongly on accuracy and IQ but all good, still love Fitz

It has to be so confusing for other teams and fan bases as to why we love this guy so very much.

 

They can suck it.  It's not our job to explain ourselves to them.

 

But if they need a short answer...he is so Buffalo you can tell from his hairy shirtless chest on a 6 degree day, and the snort from his nose and beard like a Buffalo shaking his head and getting ready to guard its turf against all comers.

 

He's Buffalo so very hard.
