Imagine inserting Aaron Donald on this Rams DL. Holy crap. He retired 1 year too early.

It’s a combination…the Vikings’ OL was their weak spot.  Darnold had to get the ball out quickly and he just refused to do so.

Its too bad - all the characters in the NFL are gone.

And I don’t mean the fake-outrage-fluff we have now. I mean TRUE characters.

Miss it.

To piggyback off that point, I miss when NFL coaches talked like this in their post game press conferences

Bill Walsh and the 49ers with Montana blew out the Vikings this year in the playoffs 44-13

The Vikings defense led the NFL with like 70 sacks. It didn't matter lol

This is a way over simplification, but Darnold looked more like the Darnold that played for the Jets and much less like the one who played for the purple team this year.

I have such a soft spot for Sean McVay.  Just seems like a guy that really likes to see people around him succeed.  I like his aura.

He looked like a backup quality QB to me. Even on completed throws he was frequently off the mark.  Guy cost himself a lot of money over the last couple of games.

I’m a big Yankees fan.  The only Yank players I did not like, and wanted off the team asap were Deion and ARod.  Deion celebrating in winning in lockerrroom, dumping water over Tim McCarver, because Tim said something that hurt Deions feelings.  McCarver said it right then to Deions face “Deion you are no man”.

I hate a rod.  Those years sucked and I don’t even care about the 09 championship.

dont get me started about Deion.  He is a self promoting grifter.  He ran a fake school in Dallas and ripped off a bunch of people and never got in any trouble.

he is awful.

I was kind of in a discussion on the Lions Vikings competition a few weeks ago, ultimately saying I am now finally seeing the Vikings as legit because I just now believed that Darnold was for real and  I wouldnt buy into it all season... and then the last few weeks happen and I am reminded why I am not a GM lol... but I think he definitely cost himself...  he takes that team on a playoff run to at least the NFC Championship game or past and they may be looking to trade JJ or at least resign Darnold to a big contract... I think that is over now.

This is the greatest rant ever. How is it not more famous?

He looked like the same Darnold. Same thing with the Jets.. when the conditions are perfect around him.. he can execute, but ratchet up the pressure and give less than perfect conditions and he loses composure and forgets how to do the basic things.

Probably lost $100 million plus with 2 bad games.  Pressure may have gotten to him with so much money on the line.

To be fair, he also has made $100M+ with this play all season.  Someone will pay him, his overall statline is too good this year to simply ignore.

I'm not a huge fan of his play, but I think he has shown the ability for a desperate team to offer him a 3-5 year deal
